I never got near mastering this piece but this performance despite the ruinous audio totally clarified it for me.

If he were willing to cut about 2/3 of the notes it could be effective.

Die Tonspur hat ständige Aussetzer, das Bild ist zu unruhig und fängt die Dynamik des Interpreten nicht ein, da es versucht eine eigene Dynamik durch ständiges Zoomen zu setzen. Dabei ist der Interpret dynamisch genug -- das Stück sowieso.

An absolutely beautiful performance. But my only thing is that it sounded too bold and for me didn't capture the mournful aspect of the piece. Just my humble opinion. I'm not knocking a man that is considered one of the greats. I've seen him concert and Emanuel is absolutely BRILLIANT.

I was wondering exactly the same haha it's a shame since this is a great performance, I just can't handle it. I'll search a different video...

Actually, there was a directive in the sheet music for the sound technician to toggle power to the microphone at those certain points in the piece, to further push the disjointed feeling of the music. Nah not really, I just made that up. I'm hearing the clicking as well :-P
