I’ve been listening to to a song from at least 13 years ago? And it sounds better live and on record than just about anything else released at that time? Nice!

Aaron killed it on the drums and vocals. Spencer's screams brought it together. This song just reatcegs the soul.

Cove definitely misses some notes but honestly Chris is doing him many favors backing him up (pitchy too). Both sound good and bad at different parts but i was impressed cove ripped some of them highs so well in the chorus. The record is growing on me…

It is insane how his voice changed within the span of two years. Cove sounds nothing like his original self, and its sad to see what drugs and alcohol can do to ruin someones gifts🤷🏽

Maybe I'm just easily impressed but I saw a forum saying that Cove Reber couldn't sing and I honestly think they're crazy.

In all seriousness. He sounds great on the album, but man he just cannot sing live. I'm not being mean but he sounds like a kid who has never sung before being asked to sing for the first time on TV... its werid.

The violins and the piano are good, Reber is horrible, sorry, he CANNOT sing (maybe he could in his early years). The imperfections hurts. I've heard a lot of singers/bands live (in concerts and at home on records and stuff. Prince, George Michael, Pink Floyd, Queen, Bowie, Peter Gabriel, SOAD/Tankian, NIN/Reznor, even Seal + others and yes, they're pros AND they CAN sing), after I've listened to the studio albums and I REALLY like Reber on studio-cd, but live - no way, this is one of the worst performances I've ever heard - EVER and why is he so "nervous"? Bruce Dickinsons imperfections are stylish, Reber's are disappointing! I tried to find just ONE live-performance here on YT in wich he's singing the quiet part on his own (it is amazing on cd and I sing it simultaneously in my car, everytime), but in EVERY single one he's holding the mic to the crowd and let them sing. Now, I know why...

I keep wondering, through all these years, why did he use to struggle so much while singing live. I don't know if it's ever been disclosed. You can hear it that he can hit those crazy high notes, he does some times, so it's not just a matter of autotune in studio, but most of the time he just misses them or his voice even cracks. He has a beautiful voice, a crazy range, it's super high for being a man... But, damn, it's so sad he had to give it up 'cause he couldn't keep the quality in live. I wonder if it's just a matter of tension or what. He does look like he's thinking too much, to me. Personally, as a singer, thinking while singing only helps to make things worse, for me.

Both him and Tyson Stevens were mid-tenors so he definitely always had the range. Cove's biggest problem was having to replace a high tenor like Anthony Green. Lets also remember he was young in his days in Saosin and was also a smoker which definitely will get in the way of having a completely smooth lyrical tenor voice that transitions into the upper range effortlessly.

Funny how this song's lyrics hit deep and hard as you grow up and get older, and you realize that you're all alone in your lonely life.
