The problem is a lot of the DLC enemies suffer the same problem, and that the game teaches you that distance is usually the best way to fight, Midra abuses you the more you distance from him, even more in his “3rd” phase when he starts launching massive ranged attack along with his strikes, but what you don’t realize is he has a short window for punish after his wave attack, you literally just need to dodge into him most of the time, he abuses panic rolls and running away to heal, sure he does massive damage but his attacks are super telegraphed, the lunges are a bit unfair but not any more than melania’s bullshit lock on spam and cheese grater attack.

Gideon works as a boss you love to hate, and his moveset reflects that. 8/10 both thematically and as a boss.

I can never see that cutscene without crying.. angela's story in my opinion is the most tragic heartbreaking one out of all of them. She was broken waay byond repair. Her own self loathing created by the constant sexual abuse perpetrated by her dad and blamed on her by her mom lands her in Silent Hill, and there's no redemption or healing for her, she willingly walks into the fire at the end. Ps: the monster thrusting into the trapped lower body is a detail so amazingly disgusting, capturing the horrifically brutal abuse she would always face, never fails to get a reaction out of me.

This is the only game I've ever heard of where using legitimate mechanics as they were intended to be used is considered a cheese. And the people that say this are so entrenched in their belief that they think you're trolling to suggest otherwise. The worst ones are those that do this and then turn around and complain the game is unfair and unbalanced. The list of things that are considered a cheese is mind boggling. Obviously no spirits ashes or cooperator summons, but also no using certain great shields, no leveling past 150 (which would mean ceasing to level up in the base game), no using certain ashes of war.

What's crazy to me is I've literally read several negative comments regarding Eddie's new actor (at least a dozen) They mostly say Eddie's original actor was more creepy and unhinged (not there mentally) -- While I do agree with the latter part.. However in this version Eddie is not only Fully aware of his despicable deeds and evil behavior - He even relishes in it... Not behind the guise of losing his mind. He's just straight up evil And malicious. Which to me makes him FAR more Intimidating and frightening than the original Eddie. I think people just get stuck in Their nostalgia.

What I got out of Eddie's portrayal in SH2 Remake wasn't that he's aware. But rather he puts up a very strong face until he falls down a pit of violent madness. All his reactions from when we meet him to his defeat are all perfect insights on who he is. He's a heavily bullied person and very insecure about himself for it. He's running away from his actions and took refuge in Silent Hill. He killed his bully's dog by poisoning it and then shot his bully in the leg. To what pleasure he got out of it; he feels an intense guilt to it as well. But the guilt he feels isn't enough to take responsibility for. He blames it on others, afraid of the consequences. It's in Silent Hill where he is confronted with his demons and gets the wrong message from it. Rather than seeing the truth; he becomes violent and cruel. Eddie is scared, guilty, angry, and insecure. And he chooses to take it out on the world rather than self reflect. He's a lesson to James of what his actions can become. Violent and maniacal... He chooses to harm others because of his emotional pain.

I remember one guy reacting to the original game's reveal. For most of the game he was cracking cheap, dark jokes and getting freaked out like some prototype version of PewDiePie. But when the game revealed that James was not some innocent victim, he was at an absolute _loss for words._
