Freelancers is great, super easy to play. Needs 3 plus but you guys could easily play 2 characters each if you wanted to 2p it.

Fun video! Great to see you and Billie again on your channel. You can kind of claim Skyrise for the question of best new-to-you game at least 10 years old. It reimplements a 2008 game called Metropolys from the defunct Ystari publisher. However there are aesthetic and rules changes, so it's not exactly the same. I've been wanting to find Metropolys for a couple years and am thrilled to have Skyrise. It's so good, even the retail edition I have. Keep an eye out for other new editions coming from the old Ystari lineup. It's been rumored that both Myrmes and Shakespeare are getting redos. Both are excellent older games as well!

@@SecondStartotheLeft Same here. I got an original base game a couple years ago second hand, but haven't been able to track down a copy of Backstage. I've seen some people selling the two together for upwards of $300 ....too pricey for me! I'm happy with the look of Shakespeare as is, but Myrmes would be perfect for an aesthetic improvement. 😁

So fab so see your answers! Totally agree on CoB theory, bigger box does increase the intimidation factor - Julian very often holds off getting a game tabled for this reason. We really want to play Harmonies, heard soooo many people say how much they are loving it. Same with Freelancers, high on the wish list!

Freelancers is really high on my list of games that I want to get off the Shelf of Shame/Opportunity, too. It's just been a busy year and we haven't been able to get many game nights together, but hopefully that will be changing soon.

I feel this! I bought it for my husband for Christmas, but we also had our second baby in October so any game we play right now needs to be quick and easy to jump into, and not a big deal if we get interrupted! I guess we'll get to it when the kiddos are a big older lol!

We recently backed Mysticana which I can't wait for, looks lovely 🤩It's rather difficult to get Button Shy wallet games over here due to the import and handling fees, so we always try to add more things to make it worthwhile :) I'm looking forward to when that pledge manager opens up in case we can add more goodies. Walking Dead and Converge looks like great titles we'd enjoy - Going to add them to our wishlist 🤞

I have everygame you have except for Picky Pixie. I don't have Moving Pictures Dino and have the PNP for Mysticana and pledged the KS. I am mostly a solo player, but my favorite of those is The Walking Dead, Moving Pictures 1 and 3, and Mysticana with the Nine perils game. The others are great, but I come back to these 3 quite a bit.

It is so necessary to have at least 3 players that I wonder if it would actually be workable to have a "Dummy" player in the case only two was playing. Will have to look at the rules when it comes ou.

That might be a good way to fix it. I wonder how it would work with one of the players resigning. That part was the part that was clunky with 2 players

We are very lucky to have the store so close. Whenever I complain that it's 45 minutes away, I remember that lots of people can't visit at all. It's a shame that you don't get the wallets there.

This game looks so calming and beautiful. I've seen the small box version at my local board game store, but didn't pick up a copy. Now I am kind of glad I passed on it at the time because the bloom edition looks SO good! I'll definitely be picking up this one.

I am one of those who was "gifted" and then "gifted" to a few friends (and family). Thanks Michelle and Billie for "gifting" this game to me and getting me hooked on it! Anxious to now "gift" some more! My favorite solo game too, Billie! I have the original version in the box, and I love the small, compact package, but now I NEED to get the 3-D flower version too! No need to decide which to get -- Get Both!

I remember the first time you mentioned this game on your channel. I was so sad that I couldn’t get my hands on a copy. Now I have one and I love love love it. I’ve been wondering if there could be an alternative scoring version where you get points for surrounding one of the animal tiles with flowers. Just something I think about while playing.😎🤓🥰 I agree with every word you said about this game. It’s a treat. 🦆🩷

Great video! We have chomp on our 10 X 10 challenge this year and have been loving it. Though we have a few times played just 2 player but included all of the cards because it is fun. Definitely a different game when you do, but fun to experiment like that. Also ROVE is the game I keep at my desk for when I need a few minutes of break from work, I can do a few moves or just sit and think about one move lol

ROVE is one of my favourites and I already ordered Aqua ROVE. Harmonies because of the cards reminds me a lot of Meadows, which I love.

I don't think I could do it. Pandemic, Everdell and Space Base would take me to the limit. I love several Button Shy games and Pencil First games which I could trade out but...Pandemic is my most played game, with Space Base and Everdell a somewhat distant 2nd and 3rd. I congratulate you on your list. And I would love for you to do the list of your top 10 games to start a collection. I humbly submit Pandemic as a possible inclusion 😁

It was very difficult for us to leave out some of our favorites just because of price! But it is a fun challenge to try. Especially since we don't actually have to get rid of any games! haha. We will have to look at doing a list of our Top 10 games to start a collection. I think it would be fun!
