I'm a hardcore CUB and I've defended Woojin multiple times on various social media platforms - IG, Twitter, YT, and even Wattpad. 😅 However, I hope you'll understand me when I say I have to disagree with this. Chan made a few vague remarks on LIVE and toxic STAYs _assumed_ he was referring to Woojin. Chan never said anywhere that he was talking about Woojin. The one time where he confirmed he was talking about Woojin was in the LIVE regarding _I Hate to Admit,_ where he asked STAYs to stop hating Woojin. Should Chan have made vague negative remarks on LIVE with thousands of people watching? No. But let's remember that STAYs had just started to grow. The fandom boomed after _God's Menu_ came out. Chan clearly wasn't expecting the fandom to get so big within so little time - or so toxic. Keep in mind that one of Chan's major faults is that he always believes good about people. It's very likely that he felt STAYs would understand him like any best friend would. He probably thought STAYs would understand he'd been through a hard time, him and the whole team, and that they'd sympathize with him. The atmosphere for Channie's Room in general doesn't help either. Channie's Room is basically a therapy session. Both idol and fans connect to each other, share personal stories and spend quality time together. That's the point of Channie's Room. This ambience would, of course, have resulted in Chan sharing some personal stories of his own. Nothing new, Chan has always shared personal stories about his life and his honest feelings in an attempt to connect with his fans. This time, however, he expressed frustration. Given that previously, nothing bad had sprouted from him sharing his own feelings and opinions, it's likely that he never saw how his words could be twisted....by the very people he loved and trusted. In other words, it was a betrayal. Toxic STAYs broke Bang Chan's trust. They manipulated his words to justify doing the one thing Chan frowns upon - hating someone. Chan couldn't have known they'd use his emotions to create and justify entire SA and bullying allegations. If I can speak frankly, that's downright Wattpad material right there. Plus, let's not forget that Chan was the same age as Woojin was when he left. Woojin admits he was young and selfish in his actions. Chan was young and careless in his actions. The excuse applies to both. Since Chan never meant to wreck Woojin's life, he can be forgiven. Just as there's no point in hating Woojin for leaving abruptly when he wasn't necessarily trying to disrupt the group's comeback, there's no point in blaming Chan for the rumours when he wasn't necessary trying to destroy someone's life. I know for a fact Chan would have tried to speak up for Woojin once the rumours started. But there's JYPE. There's no way the company would have allowed SKZ to get involved in SA allegations. That would tarnish their reputation. It's important to remember how much control these companies have over an idol's life. In conclusion, it wasn't Chan who nearly ruined his life. It was blind netizens who have never been trained to think.

Bom vendo as coisas que aconteceram recentemente eu acho que o woojin pediu pra sair do grupo quando estava perto do comeback, os meninos tiveram que regravar várias coisas e provavelmente ajustar as coreografias sem contar que ele era o main vocal do grupo provavelmente os meninos se sentiram traídos. Mas enfim sucesso pro stray kids e pro woojin gostaria que eles fossem amigos ainda, mas acho pouco provável...

Well, to be fair, we never knew him. And as Chan himself said, Stray Kids are 8. He was mad media used old pics of skz even after Woojin left. For my part, I know we'll never know what actually happened and it's probably for the best, so I decided to not research the issue anymore and just stick with the facts. Stray Kids are 8, I stan Stray Kids as 8 people. Woojin for me is a soloist and a great singer, but that's all he is. He's not related to skz anymore. I enjoy the group as they are now))
