I was able to follow your steps for my H24 directv receiver to get my standard channels it works great now in my class a motorhome .

Good information. The sad part is he referred to a customer service option you can call. My experience with that is they don’t understand what you need. They are so scripted on giving you the best service they miss the fact they aren’t helping. I say bring “ customer service “ back to the mainland so everyone is on the same page and be there for customers.

I have an hr54-700, a friend moved and gave me his dish that looks just like mine and had the same type receiver. I want to get another hr54-700 to use with the new dish on my rv. Direct tv wants to charge me 200$ for the new receiver which is fine, I just want to make sure it will work with the new dish at a different location before I purchase it. Any feedback worked be greatly appreciated.

I just purchased probably the 1st version of birdog with an old rj45? jack on the side. It was listed as parts. The battery was obviously bad. I was able to charge it but it drained in about 20 seconds. The internal transformer was also bad. So here's what I did. I pulled the transformer out and gutted it cord and all. I flipped it around glued in a female power jack adapter into the hole that was once for the wires that went to the circuit board . Connected the wires that used to go to the battery to the adapter. Then plugged in a power adapter set at 7.5 volts. BAM! It's now working. I'm using it for my RV/camper. So I don't need anything extensive. I just saved a butt ton of money!

Okay, I just had my DirecTV installed yesterday, however 90% of the channels I am paying for are not showing up in my feed as I am subscribed to them. I reset the HD DVR and reauthorized it like they said to do, neither of those two worked so I called and the lady that tried to help me said that I needed an 18 : slimline not a 17 how do i fix that?

What tv do you have? Mine has the same "no signal" display.

It runs on the 18 volts that the satellite receiver sends down the coax line.

Where does the tailgater get it's power from, not the lmbf's but the drive motors?

What if you are on an anchored boat...will it work? Can it keep finding the signal?
