Thank you for speaking truth, it’s deceiving to give a human a position that only belongs to Jesus, as the one intercesor between God and mankind, that includes Mary, whom called herself a bond servant (bought with a price)of The Lord. She was obedient and blessed, but not carrying the same status of our Lord and Savior, she would be horrified of what man made belief is doing with her name. Have a relationship with Jesus Christ and be saved, repent of your sins and walk with The Lord, don’t add worthless doctrines of demons that opposes the Word of God.

*Proof 1:* Book says a thing will happen, and then that thing happens in the book *Proof 2:* Our mental capacity and emotions are not as unique as you think they are. Humans evolved to have these traits, due to pro-social behaviour being a trait that aided in survival. Other species of humans such as neanderthals were also *once* unique in their intelligence. Why is accepting this so hard? Does it make you seem less special? That's rough, but if not being a god's favorite pet project makes you feel like life is worthless, that's a sign you might need therapy. *Proof 3:* Oh my. If the Bible is without errors, why is there a need for apologetics? If it is perfect, why are there so many different sects that disagree about what it says? The first edition of the Bible is perfect? Great, how do you know that? Can I see it? And if a single flaw in the Bible would collapse the entire religion, that's a very shaky religion isn't it? I'm not sure how that even helps your argument? *Proof 4:* Spider-Man and Daredevil comics feature New York. Queens and Manhattan are real places. Hell's Kitchen is also a real, specific place in Manhattan. Amazing, Spider-Man and Daredevil are real. *Proof 5:* God endorses slavery, genocide, rape and murder. And if the Bible is perfect and contains no contradictions, you can't disagree. *Proof 6:* The best and honest answer is; _"I don't know, let's go find out why."_ not _"An invisible cloud man did it, case closed."_ *Proof 7:* If we lived exactly by God's way, would you accept the legalization of slavery? Would you accept a payment of silver to you and a forced marriage of your daughter to her rapist as the proper protocol for such an act? Would you kill your child for being disobedient? Probably not, so now you have a dilemma: Either you're wrong or God is wrong. Which is it? And a bonus, if I have free will, God can't force me to do anything, but if God knows *everything,* he know who will go to hell and who won't. Therefore those people are not free, they only think they are. Their fates have been pre-determined, and God is punishing them for not being able to defy his godly foresight and storywriting. That's not very nice of Him.
@becomingchristians5 күн бұрын
Thank you for your comment and for sharing your thoughts! I understand where you're coming from, and I'd love to respond to some of the points you raised. Proof 1: It seems like you're critiquing the idea of prophecy by saying that the Bible’s predictions are self-fulfilling within its own text. However, many biblical prophecies extend beyond the pages of the Bible, into historical events that have been confirmed by secular sources. For example, the destruction of the temple in Jerusalem in 70 AD was foretold by Jesus decades before it happened. This event is well-documented by historians such as Josephus. Proof 2: The Bible doesn't deny that we have physical similarities with other life forms. What makes humanity unique, according to scripture, is not just our intelligence or social behavior, but our spiritual nature - being made in the image of God (Genesis 1:27). This gives us a unique relationship with our Creator, something that goes beyond survival or pro-social traits. Proof 3: The need for apologetics doesn’t stem from the Bible being flawed, but from the fact that people interpret things differently. While the Bible is seen by Christians as perfect in its message, humans are fallible in understanding it. Just like scientific truths need interpretation and discussion, so does the Bible. The many sects of Christianity are a reflection of human nature, not the inaccuracy of the Bible. Proof 4: Comparing the Bible to fictional stories like Spider-Man is an interesting analogy, but there’s a key difference: historical accuracy. The Bible references places and events that have been verified by archaeology and history. Unlike Spider-Man, which is clearly a fictional story, the Bible includes records of real kings, battles, and cities that align with secular history. Proof 5: It's important to consider the cultural context of ancient biblical laws. While certain practices, like slavery, are mentioned in the Bible, they are not endorsed in the way modern readers might think. Biblical slavery was different from modern conceptions of slavery and had regulations that protected individuals. Moreover, the trajectory of the Bible's message points toward freedom, justice, and equality, as evidenced in the teachings of Christ (Galatians 3:28, for example). God's perfect plan unfolds progressively throughout the Bible, culminating in Christ's command to love others. Proof 6: Saying "God did it" doesn’t mean we stop seeking answers. Many scientists, theologians, and philosophers are Christians who explore the mysteries of the universe while acknowledging God's role in creation. Faith and science are not mutually exclusive, and believing in God doesn't mean abandoning curiosity or the pursuit of knowledge. Proof 7: Regarding Old Testament laws, it’s crucial to understand that they were given in a specific historical and cultural context. Jesus came to fulfill the law (Matthew 5:17), and His teachings supersede many of the old practices. We don’t live under the Old Testament law anymore but under New Covenant where Christ fulfilled the sacrificial and ceremonial laws. So no, we wouldn’t follow some of the civil and ceremonial laws of ancient Israel today. As for your final point about free will and God’s foreknowledge, this has been a subject of debate for centuries. Christians believe that God’s knowledge of future events doesn’t negate human freedom. Think of it like a parent who knows their child will touch a hot stove despite warnings. The parent’s knowledge doesn’t force the child to make the decision; the child still chooses freely. God, being outside of time, knows our choices, but He doesn’t compel us to make them. I appreciate your deep and thoughtful engagement with these topics. It’s always valuable to have respectful conversations, even when we don’t agree. Thanks again for taking the time to comment!

It means that you are sinning with the complete knowledge that what you're doing is sin and part of that willful sinning is that you don't have any intention to repent and change your ways. Satan and the demons sin willfully. They fully know that they are sinning. They are not sinning out of weakness but of rebellion. They don't intend to repent nor do they want to change. What about Numbers 6 1-5 "And the Lord spoke unto Moses, saying, 2 Speak unto the children of Israel, and say unto them, When either man or woman shall separate themselves to vow a vow of a Nazarite, to separate themselves unto the Lord: 3 He shall separate himself from wine and strong drink, and shall drink no vinegar of wine, or vinegar of strong drink, neither shall he drink any liquor of grapes, nor eat moist grapes, or dried. 4 All the days of his separation shall he eat nothing that is made of the vine tree, from the kernels even to the husk. 5 All the days of the vow of his separation there shall no razor come upon his head: until the days be fulfilled, in the which he separateth himself unto the Lord, he shall be holy, and shall let the locks of the hair of his head grow." Are there exceptions to the rule or are they absolute? (Samson and Paul took the Nazarite vow) Was the rule more of the sign of the times then and that culture, with hair signifying personal status, or does the rule still stand today? I am not arguing for or against Yeshua/Jesus having long hair for your other examples, like Yeshua being able to blend in, leads to believe he probably did not have very long hair. Thanks.
@becomingchristians12 күн бұрын
Thank you for your thoughtful comment and for bringing up the passage in Numbers 6 regarding the Nazirite vow. The Nazirite vow was indeed a special vow of consecration to God during biblical times, when individuals would set themselves apart for a specific period by abstaining from certain things, including cutting their hair. As you mentioned, notable individuals like Samson, Samuel, and John the Baptist took this vow, and it marked their dedication to God. However, it’s important to recognize that the Nazirite vow was specifically tied to a particular context-the physical temple still standing and the ceremonial practices of Israel. Today, for Christians, we are no longer under the Old Covenant law but are guided by the teachings of Christ and the apostles. For this reason, that particular passage in Numbers does not directly apply to us in the same way it did in Old Testament times. Paul's teachings in 1 Corinthians 11:14 give us a principle for today, stating that it is dishonorable for a man to have long hair, as it goes against the natural distinction between men and women that God established. This suggests that, under the New Covenant, the cultural and spiritual significance of long hair for men is no longer valid. So, while the Nazirite vow was a sign of consecration in its time, today, the principle we follow is that it is not appropriate for men to have long hair, as indicated by Paul. Again, I appreciate your understanding and engagement with the topic, and I'm glad you find the point about Yeshua/Jesus blending in compelling. It helps confirm that Jesus likely did not have long hair, as He would have adhered to the customs of His time.

In the new covenant of Grace no 10% required. It's a matter of heart giving. Not mandatory 10.
@becomingchristians15 күн бұрын
The New Covenant is founded on the sacrifice of Jesus Christ, and with it, there has been a shift in the priesthood. The Levitical priesthood has been replaced by Christ, our High Priest in heaven (Hebrews 7:24-26). This is why, instead of giving tithes to the Levites, we now give to Christ through His ministers, who continue His work on Earth. While God will not strike anyone down for not giving 10% of their income, tithing remains a valuable guideline for Christians. For many, it provides a structured way to prioritize giving and serves as a practical method to honor God with their resources. Ultimately, it's not about rigid legalism, but about using tithing as a tool to foster a generous and obedient heart.

Also the New Testament says, “ Each one should give what he has decided in his heart to give, not reluctantly or under compulsion, for God loves a cheerful giver.” To declare that everyone should tithe is the very definition of a compulsory action.

Thank you, Dan, for sharing your thoughts and bringing up some important scripture. Let me respond to your points in light of the broader biblical teaching on obedience and giving. 1. Obedience is better than sacrifice: The verse you’re referencing, 1 Samuel 15:22, highlights a key principle: God desires our obedience to Him more than ritualistic offerings or sacrifices. I completely agree with you that if someone tithes but lives in open sin, such as watching pornography or engaging in other sinful behavior, their tithe isn’t truly honoring God. The Bible calls us to live holy lives and to obey His commands (1 Peter 1:16). Tithing, like any other act of worship, must flow from a heart that seeks to honor God in all areas of life. Without obedience, our giving becomes hollow. 2. Cheerful giving: You rightly quoted 2 Corinthians 9:7, which emphasizes that our giving should come from the heart and not be done reluctantly or under compulsion. This teaching aligns with the New Testament principle that giving is a matter of personal conviction. God indeed loves a cheerful giver, and each person should decide in their heart how much to give based on their relationship with God and their resources. While tithing is often seen as a guideline or starting point for giving, it should never be done out of compulsion or a sense of obligation. It’s more about the spirit behind the giving than the specific amount. That's why, tithing is an act of faith. For many Christians, tithing represents a practical way to show gratitude and trust in God. 3. Tithing and compulsion: You raise a valid concern about tithing being seen as a compulsory act. However, the problem is not in the Law of God, but in the people who are trying to keep it. Sadly, as humans, we keep God's Laws with the wrong attitude. God wants us to give willingly whether in tithes or offering. In my blog post, I don’t mean to suggest that every believer must tithe in the legalistic sense. Rather, tithing is presented as a valuable spiritual discipline that helps cultivate generosity and trust in God. It’s a personal decision between the believer and God, and it should be done with joy and not out of coercion. We all have our own level of conversion. Some are stronger in their faith and give tithe, but others are still weak and needs more time to really trust God with their finances. To sum up, I agree with your point that giving should be a matter of the heart, done out of love and not obligation. Tithing can be a meaningful way to express that love, but it must always be done in the spirit of obedience, joy, and devotion to God, not as a mere duty or checkbox to mark off. We are called to honor God not just with our giving, but with our entire lives-including how we live, how we love, and how we obey His Word.
