@tylerwysong explain in a paragraph please am confused
@tylerwysong7 күн бұрын
@ I would rather you just keep watching my videos. I feel like I explain it very objectively. Basically there is a muscular component as well as a resonant component. You end up resonating the 3rd harmonic with the second formant (I know that won’t make sense until you watch more of my videos) I have explained it through and through here in all of these videos. Just take it one step at a time and you’ll have a deep understanding.

Wow. I’ve been singing for 20+ years, at least half with singing teachers and I’ve never been able to master mix voice. Now I find myself in a show and I have to! It’s never been explained to me like this. And the second drill you did, I freaken got it! It felt amazing. Pretty pumped to dive in.

So mix is adding a little bit of air in nasal passage?
@tylerwysong19 күн бұрын
@@JDDGKZbin no!! But that can help you find a mixed registration of the vocal cords. Mix is a vocal cord configuration as well as a specific resonance (using the second formant as your primary and dominant resonance of either the 3rd harmonic or the 4th) I know that is probably confusing but that’s what mixed voice is. At least how I teach it.
@JDDGYoutube19 күн бұрын
@@tylerwysong Thanks for clarifying. I do add some air in my nasal airflow to get resonance in between somewhere in my nose and mouth. At least that is how I get the feeling but I'm still not quite sure if I'm actually in the mix. But I certainly do it most every time I wanna go higher, but It sounded pretty weak.

Is this what Elvis is doing in Heartbreak Hotel? Also does he transition out of mixed voice when he goes lower or does he stay in mixed voice? My voice is somewhat cracking when I go down. I feel like my mixed voice isn’t a meaty at Elvis’. Mine sounds closer to falsetto though it’s not. Also it’s much more quiet. To get the mixed voice more meaty, does this require some muscular development?

I have a vocal range of usually E2-E4 and I can vocalize and sing from E2-b2 and E3-D4 pretty comfortably. But in the transitioning region from C3-E3(sometimes even F4) my voice is very shaky, it cracks, and I can't control Utilizing neither the lower nor the upper register. The shakiness is most prominent when I go from the lower register to the upper register rather than vice versa. But this is not to say it is okay when I go from the upper register back down. Are any exercises specific for this problem? Sometimes when I try in that range, my throat feels like it is being tickled, and it feels like there is friction.

Hi Tyler! You are handsome and I love your voice! Good Tenor. I have a question which I would appreciate so much if you could write me back because it is driving me NUTS!!! Lol Should I be connecting my vocal chords / vocal folds as I sing from the bottom of my range up to the top of my range?

@@Joachim_M._Mart Well all of the singers I like most are tenors, so I have trained myself to be a tenor. I don't know that it's natural or not, but I trained myself to sing in the eway I want and I think most anyone could do the same.
