thanks bro very infomative videos it helped me a lot. I just have some thoughts if ts possible. Im using my L8 in OBS studio with ASIO. both my mic and loopback are perfect. Is there a way i can broadcast the onboard fx. tried using L8 as my output but my mic also in the same loop plus my input mic in line 1. I hope there's a workaround. Thanks in advance and more power! 😁

My RP2 is only recording on one track in reaper. For some reason it wont record multiple tracks. All the instruments and microphones are being recorded just only on a single track. The input device is also showing up as"2 rodecaster pro 1" and not "rodecaster pro2 main"

Can the channels 7/8 send out audio to the camera app on your phone? If everything is plugged in like you have it in the video, and you start recording video on your phone, does the phone video get the good audio from the board? I am looking into this board, but need this confirmed first. Thanks!

Hi how were you able to switch between the ptz and the brio? Usually the computer will only recognise one webcam. It’s doing my head in as I have a brio and want a 2nd cam.

Hey. Thanks for this helpful video! Do you know if the scene button changes the Gain knobs too? I would like to change between instruments on different scenes, so require different gain levels on a specific channel

How can I connect my piano to the Zoom L-8 mixer to achieve stereo sound? The piano has two LINE OUT R, L/MONO outputs on the back panel, but when I connect it using two mono cables to the Line In jacks on channels 7 and 8, the output sound is in mono. Can you explain how to connect the piano for stereo sound?

Glad I found this video. There's no where on the internet explaining the Sound Pads on the L-8. And this video doesn't really say it directly. Bottom line is you only have 6 sound pads meaning that's it with the L8 as far as the built in sound pads. I thought you could make 7 banks of 6 different sounds assigned to the pads by changing scenes and adding 6 more sounds then change the scene to say scene 3 and have 6 more so while podcasting, you could switch scenes and access more different sounds. That doesn't work, or at least with my current firmware ( i'll check for updates to see if that can be done now in 2023 but doubt it) SO, Like this video says, you have to get an ipad or something else to use as a sound board, cause really, most listeners want to head sounds from a sound pad. It's stupid that Zoom L-8 doesn't allow multiple banks of sounds. Love how the rodecaster has banks to switch to for more sounds. I owen the L-8 and it's great don't get me wrong, but I just ordered the Rodecaster Pro for the sound banks and the bluetooth connectivity for phone calls etc. I will be getting the Elgato stream deck to plug into the L-8 and assign sounds to that, so that's a great work around. Maybe Zoom didn't want to focus too much on the soundpads on the unit cause they know you can use an ipad or other device to do sounds. Anyway, Thanks for the info, it confirmed that you can't have more that 6 sounds at one time, sometimes only 3 then sometimes none.

Thanks a lot for sharing your research, this always bugs me as these mics, as simple as it looks, doesn't work with both phantom power on or off. Then, only come to realize that these electret capsules (i think) only work with 5V~ 10V.. Had been driving me insane.

You also could have a button to hold the camera on you no matter who speaks! And another to turn the command for the wide camera to a button too
@CastawayStudios

just trying to work out how to do that. The triggers are all set to switch cameras, so I need to turn on and off all triggers. I have a foot pedal style streamdeck with 3 buttons, so here's my plan... I made a shortcut that sets ALL the mic channels to zero (keep in mind I don't record these channels, just bring them in separately for the triggers) I made a shortcut that turns them all back up to 100. It works I'll use the third pedal to switch to the wide angle. When I want to zoom in I just turn up all the channels and the triggering starts again.

Thanks for this video. I was looking to use NDI Audio Direct for my workflow, sending a livestream mix from Reaper to OBS, and found that I continued to have more than a few problems receiving a clean signal across NDI Audio Direct, one that didn't continue to have crackling issues due to buffering, even after making all possible changes to both computers for the setup. End of it all, I'm using the ReaStream VST plugin between Reaper and OBS for the time being, as it's seems to be the best way, for now. Just curious if you have any information to share regarding those crackling issues one might encounter when using NDI Audio Direct? TIA

So cool to see other like-minded folks using solar for power in small campers! When the price of diesel hits...yeah... you KNOW where it's going because of the "powers that shouldn't be"... yeah... thinking ahead is where it's at! keep it up... i'm watching this series! /cheers mate!

haha! i chuckled at about 3:20 when you were "tapping"... imagine how I felt when i wired my home backup off-grid system(not my camper) that has 8x 12v AGM deep cycles at the heart.... I know the apprehension LOL... if you get something wrong you could WELD that wire and everything get really HOT... really FAST haha... fuse everything... fuse everywhere... fuses, fuses, fuses when it comes to DC... that's my motto. Keep it up bud! It is SO satisfying once you got it going!!! I may have to post a vid of my off-grid camper I am STILL working on after almost 3 years now! /grin

wow bud... /wave from Canada... i just found your channel when i was searching for "VoiceMeeeter" info...anyway.... I am an old musician and 2 years ago i bought a slide-in camper for my 3/4 ton truck(yes it's a dodge diesel P-pump haha i LOVE IT)...but I gutted the camper and installed a complete SOLAR power setup! It uses 3x 105aH batteries, a 3000w pure sine wave inverter and I even have a small "pancake-style" air compressor in there...a "chinese" diesel heater and the wife an I just LOVE IT! It is a complete off-grid mini home when we go camping. You will NOT be disappointed when you get this project done, sir! Just had to give some words of encouragement because you WILL LOVE it when it's done!(welll...it's never really done...there's always something ELSE that can make it better as you go! Never stop!
