I actually think we would do considerable amounts of damage with nukes because if Russia and the United States alone fired all their nukes which is a total of approximately almost 10,000 if not 10,000 or more that would pack a serious major punch to the asteroid

This movie is 2 movies: The opening 15 minutes or so is a tight nicely made Sci-Fi story with great pacing. Then Bruce Willis et al show up and the movies turns into sh*t, just dreadful.

NASA engineers having trouble building a drill correctly is absolute nonsense. It's a stupid part of the film. Bruce Willis doesn't have to be the ultimate badass all the time.

This film like so many from its time is covered with 90's cheese. I miss 90's cheese, I was young the cheese was smelly and it tasted great.
