The WESTERN CONSULTANTS are just fueling the King's ego and getting easy money. Same goes for many other projects ( Jeddah tower) and the Riyadh Metro where it was announced to be opened in phases since 2019 but until this day, Nothing!

It’s true that large-scale projects like the Jeddah Tower and the Riyadh Metro face immense challenges, from financing and construction complexities to unforeseen delays. The balance between ambition and practicality is tough to strike, especially when striving for global prestige. It will be interesting to see how these developments progress and whether they ultimately meet expectations.

Who's asking for your opinion. Crown Prince MBS is well-educated and familiar with his country's geographical situation. This is an excellent futuristic project. Money is no object. Has to work and we will be delighted to visit upon completion.

What is the mystery behind California's raise and fall? It's very simple and I'm surprised you didn't cover it. From 1950 to 1990, CA was mostly REPUBLICAN, the Party of prosperity, freedom and happiness. It was this time that CA's population grew by leaps and bounds. Everyone and their grandmothers wanted to move here for a better future. From 1990 to today, it became Democrat, the Party of poverty, enslavement and misery. It was this time that CA started losing population where millions -- myself included -- want to move out. Drugs, high crime, shortage of housing, high taxes, big government bureaucracy, illegal invasion, etc...all are killing our once great state. You asked what can be done about it? Simple: BRING BACK THE REPUBLICAN PARTY.

Thanks for sharing your thoughts! You’ve pointed out some big changes California has gone through, and politics is definitely a part of the story. We touched on a few factors in the video, but I appreciate hearing different takes on what’s driving the state’s challenges. There’s no doubt people have strong opinions on how to fix things. I do believe that political parity would benefit the state.

Iceland is bad. It’s easy to conquer and isolated for imports only, and you’ll starve and also the climate gives you nothing but sheep and root veggies. Afghanistan ironically would be the safest because it’s impossible to conquer , it is mountainous with endless universes in it , and has a location with many native fruits veggies grains ans animals , plus is a non- player nation. The Taliban have it secure

Good video and spot -on. I do wish you had spoken more about Ft. Worth which is not exactly tiny in its own right. I do think the multipolar development might create different transit options as well. The denser coastal cities seem to favor subways and large rail systems. While some rail is helpful within parts to the larger cities in the state, I am guessing that we will see that paired with such models as trackless trams and even self automated ones at that, once the technology is refined connecting entertainment venues, residential areas and business hubs. Perhaps, looking less like a series of train tracks and more like a spider web development. I also believe it could be the makings of a different kind of politics, especially as AI and AGI begins to assist with coordinating transportation and other municipal services across city limit boundaries and even incorporating multiple county and municipal services. This could also lead the Texas Triangle into the realm of a new centralized, but decentralist model of addressing growth, addressing economic development in depleted areas, addressing wealth inequality, engage in environmental restoration and protection, and improving services from education to healthcare. I believe I heard the term "metropolitanization" somewhere. Of course, I don't expect much from our current state's elected leadership, but we do have some smart leadership at local levels in both politics, advocacy groups and business. I also believe HSR will be a thing in Texas. We don't want to hit a transportation brick wall especially due to our location to Mexico and its emergence as the replacement for China as a manufacturing and distribution hub. We have the ability to be a major connector for Mexico and other parts of Latin America to the rest of North America.
@Geopolica
@Geopolica 26 күн бұрын
Thank you for your support and your thoughtful comment! You’ve brought up some great points about Ft. Worth and the potential for more varied transit options in Texas. I completely agree that with the right investment and vision, the state has the potential to implement a mix of transit models that go beyond traditional rail systems, especially as technology like trackless trams and automated transport evolves. It’s exciting to think about how AI and AGI could reshape city planning and regional growth, making it possible to tackle complex challenges like wealth inequality and environmental restoration. Your perspective on the Texas Triangle as a unique hub linking Mexico and the rest of North America is spot-on. With the right approach, Texas can position itself as a key connector for economic development across the continent.

Calling the french territories outside of "France" "colonies" is just simply stupid after World War 2 ... Especially islands that are still french now and Algeria simply stopped being treated as colonies, Resistance in Algeria was fully fueled by the US in a goal to make France weaker and allow for stable military bases there; which did not even succeded, as they only realised late the Algerian National Liberation Front was a extremist group against democracy.. Still now Algeria is closer to Russia (as successor of the USSR) than algeria it made a lot of peoples think the Soviet Union supported Algerian Resistance, but they did not, unless possibly ideologically but the Liberation Front is more Nationalist Islam than Socialism Still now, the US might be supporting new caledonian rebels... even if less, as France has proven to be a threat to American Hegemony multiples times after WW2. So, It was all planned after decolonization Degaulle had planned decolonization since the Liberation, even before. The thing is simple: nations get their independence, France will defend them against independentist or ideological threats (it was in a cold war situation) for a part of their ressources, Even Algeria, that was nothing of a colony was planned to be abbandonned by France Now, a lot of peoples that were integrated into France in Algeria are coming back to France... With enough time during the cold war, no US support to independentists, Algeria being a integral part of France is not that irrealistic. There was more differences between Britanny and Paris in the 1500s than they were between Algeria and Paris during the 60s Now, lastly, for the Algerian war, it was not a war against Algeria the War's goal is to show France as strong, yet it lost one of its most important region, and much of their influence in Africa Abbandoning Algeria peacefuly wouldve been surrendering the American Hegemony, Believe it or not, a lot of peoples dont want to believe it, but life conditions in all of Europe would be worse if the war didnt had happened The Algerian war restricted US influence over Europe; For a looonnng time, the US have tried to sell Toxic, Illegal, harmful products to Europe only for profit, After WW2, France was the only country in allied Europe to actually resist this influence, and so protected its neighboors. Without the War, Social Democracy and Revolutionary French ideas would have not been renewed. Peoples also forget; Africa is in constant war, having France fighting for countries in Africa actually lower the losses African dictators also use the money from aids for their own good, and its also why Africa is underdevelopped So, European Influence in Africa is not always bad, France is NOT a colonial state and has stopped being for a long time. I mightve forgotten some things, but i doubt you'll even read it, but just know that.

The complexities surrounding French territories and their classification post-WWII stem from the legal and political changes made to adapt to global decolonization trends. While the formal term “colony” may have shifted, the reality on the ground for many of these territories, such as Algeria, remained unequal, with limited political rights and autonomy, leading many to still see them as de facto colonies. Your argument that U.S. influence fueled Algerian resistance to weaken France is partly accurate within the broader Cold War context, where superpowers often supported nationalist movements to reshape spheres of influence. However, attributing the FLN’s fight solely to external manipulation oversimplifies the deep-rooted grievances that led to the Algerian War. France’s decolonization strategy was less about voluntarily “abandoning” regions and more about transitioning to a new form of influence through neocolonial structures, particularly in Africa, to maintain its global status without direct colonial rule. This geopolitical competition extended beyond Algeria to French territories that remain today, where France’s continued presence reflects a blend of strategic interests, historical ties, and complex identity politics, making these issues far from resolved.
