Be really careful with the ribbon connectors. Not realizing how fragile they were, and being frustrated at not finding the "lever" he mentioned during the 10-11 minute portion of the video (never did find a lever and broke the connector in two places). What a bummer after all the time I spent getting the cover opened. It wouldn't make sense to have somebody repair it - would spend more than the cost of a decent used iPad. The video was great but would have been even better if he had used a magnifying glass to show what he was doing in disconnecting the ribbon connector.

I have mine hooked up the way a video showed on here and my bulb only has a little gas pulled into it. About a 3rd. It wont fully fill. I dread taking the carb apart. It probably has crud in it.
@RepairNut
@RepairNut 18 күн бұрын
It's not so bad to take apart if you need to. Just take a pic of stuff each time you remove things so you'll remember how it goes together. Just get a can of carb cleaner spray before you start. Wear safety glasses because that carb spray goes everywhere when you try to spray through tiny holes.

Hello. Thank you so much for posting. I am looking to put in our car door soon. I was wondering if I could do this with a small hand saw? I don't have a jigsaw and don't know if it is worth it to invest in one for just 1 project. Thank you so much for the help!

Hey the cloth in my car is hanging how yours was in the beginning. Do I have to replace the cloth? Or can I just kinda stick the cloth back up to the ceiling and fix it that way?
@RepairNut
@RepairNut Ай бұрын
@@notkryptxc you can’t really glue an old sagging headliner back on. The foam underneath is all crumbly and won’t hold anything you glue to it. You could possibly pin or thumbtack it up to the fiberglass headboard I guess if you were really not wanting to replace it and didn’t mind that.

Hey, how has this key fob case been holding up? A lot of people say that it breaks. Did you find the one you got to be of good quality? Thanks! Also, keep up the videos, you are helping people a lot!
@RepairNut
@RepairNut Ай бұрын
It is my spare key but I do use it some. One time the case popped back apart (it just snaps together), but I think it was user error. I just snapped it back together and its good. You could definitely super glue the halves together if it came apart frequently, but be sure to put a new battery in first, since that wouldn't come back apart very easily if glued.

Thank you for a detailed video. According to Honda service manual, the headliner front should be lowered below steering wheel and then it should be pulled out of the front passenger door. That will provide better clearance than the trunk and not require folding it.
@RepairNut
@RepairNut Ай бұрын
@@kryptik0 thanks for the comment. Maybe that would be possible if you laid the front seats down all the way back instead of folding them forwards, but I bet it’s still a tight squeeze. However my headliner has no wrinkles where the small folds happened. Only where I didn’t quite get it glued down well under the visor area. It’s still holding up great so far and looks good.

Man you just made yourself a whole lot of work on that knife you didn't need to do. Them keyhole bolsters, or swinden joint it's called pops off easy, in ten minutes you could have changed out that blade all you needed to do was pop out the spring lock bars pin in the middle then just pull downward on the two sides and the bolsters pop out of the key slot then just re pin it is all you had to do!!
@RepairNut
@RepairNut 2 ай бұрын
@@Kodiak_Edge I figured the swinden key pins would be too tight to separate without breaking them anyway. I’m no pro I just like to fiddle with things like this. Either way I have the knife back in service.
