Would you recommend DT for motorcycle light wiring? I’m adding a street legal kit to a dirt bike.

Question. What is done about waterproofing the electrical connection. This off road build will need to address water, and it might be fairly high, particularly wires running front to rear at the floor board level. These might not be the kind I am looking for.

I really like the DT Connector, but with the 14AWG pin/sockets… particularly useful for motorbikes and ATV use.

Do yourself a favor and giddy-up on the closed-barrel connectors. They will require the special crimper tool, but they are so much nicer to work with. Hope this helps. Here is a link to a relevant video for extra reference & context >>> kzbin.info/www/bejne/l6S6nWdod7WZmKc *_TRUST !!_* ♂≠♀

What is the standard for which plug is the power side? I assume female but it uses male pins so it’s a tad confusing

Are there male and female cavity plugs
@jameshead1526
@jameshead1526 2 жыл бұрын
No. The seal plugs are the same for the plug or the receptacle. They are held in place by the rear wire seal, which is identical for the plug or receptacle.

Does the grid have shock travel sensor and 8-egt setup or do you halve to use the Racepak V300SD with the grid if you wanna use those two features? Thanks

Why are we not using Industrial/production grade terminals with insulation retention. They make plenty of ring, spade terminals with a insulation support barrel, locking, and many other useful features. Maybe you guys do use them on customers cars? But why not offer the consumer a product of the same quality and reliability that successful teams depend on? I'm not a product rep or anything but I'd be happy to help/share what I have learned in the industry.
