If you would like to use other third party drives/motors you can only with Siemens Analog HLA modules. The third party drives must be controlled via Analog command (Can still be "Digital" Drives) Information Here: machinetoolproducts.com/siemens-828d-control-only-retrofit-kit-for-cnc-milling-machines/ You can also download a brochure on that page with more details.

where did you find the picture for mounting the Z. My instruction had no such picture. Really wasn't sure what to do. Started to read the instruction but that did not last long. Thanks for the video. I ended up flipping the black plate over and countersinking it. So mine is not only rotated its also flipped.

I just got a new Jet 1050 Mill, with 3 axis powerfeed, but they only put a Newall DP700 2 axis DRO on it, can I get just the 3 axis monitor and the scale for the Quill?
