Since I’ve made this video, I realize that the wiring was too thin for the draw. Please use 6 to 10 AWG wire.

14 awg is too small to run your wire thet distance. You need 10 awg or risk burning something up.

Drill a big enough hole near the camera and near the base, feed the cable inside the pipe. Being 3/4 should be fairly easy

Firstly, thank you for watching. I really do appreciate it. Unfortunately, I’m gonna have to keep this one a secret. But I will say if you go on Google maps and look for structure similar to what you see in the video that includes grass lines, submerge grass, oyster beds, and inlets. You should be in good shape to catch some reds.

Or a local meet-up as well! I'm in a Hobie Outback with a Newport NK180. I vary from camping to renting AirB&Bs. I primarily fish from CC up to St, Charles Bay areas and in between. there are a few things wrong in this video. first off 14 gauge wire is only rated for 15 amps. that trolling motor can pull as high as 30 amps... thats a fire waiting to happen. second there is no way your amp draw is only 3.4 amps at full speed... your meter likely isnt working right.

You are correct. Even though I’ve never had an issue with the wires I have beefed them up. And the draw was incorrect yes. Especially since it wasn’t in the water with drag. Thanks for the correction.

Yessir. I got to chasing some tailing reds and didn't notice the storm approaching until the temp dropped and the wind shifted. It was too late to make it back to the launch at that point. The lightning was fierce!

I fish all that water as well. I got tossed out of my boat from a wave off a tanker ship at Dagger island. I also lost ignition on the motor a different time in Copano and had to be rescued by the warden. Be careful.

@@TiggsTailsFishing If you Google map 13015 Gulf Beach Dr. That's where we were and looks like it's falling into the gulf from an overhead view, but it was a pole house raised up. You can see where we were fishing. Off the back porch in the shade all day. I saw guys Wade fishing up to their necks and heck yeah that place is super dangerous. I would not go in the water. No way!
