Thanks for your work, but I wish you'd have used a little less speedy pianist, difficult to follow. (The pianist is just showing off, in my opinion).

The cadenza is outrageously beautiful, much harder than Rachmanimoff probably? But never have I ever heard something like it.
@Luca-yg5qx17 күн бұрын
Interesting, I've always thought of 1:53 as T1 and 8:52 as the beginning of the recapitulation with the cadenca being a parenthesis within the recap. Both interpretations could be correct in their own way though, or perhaps I'm just wrong 😅

At 0:31 the last note on that page and the first note on the next page are not what is played by the violinist. Was this a deliberate choice to deviate from the score?

Hey Signore, thank you for this video but in your analysis, you missed the most important part: the twelve-tone series. What you refer to as the interlude is actually the main part - that’s one clue. You also missed this in the very final part - that’s the second clue). And there are many other moments - I won’t spoil your interest.

It's all right. I'm myself in no ways an expert nor an established musicologist, and serial music tends to make me very confused from time to time. I now tend to simply look up a more professional analysis for pieces that requires more "investigation", import + cite it, but this was before I started doing that...

What a boring performance 😴😴😴😴😴😴😴with absolutely no rubato. I can't imagine Sarasate playing it this way at all. It's so incredibly robotic. However, it's a nice arrangement by Sarasate. Doesn't hold a candle to the Wilhelmj version, though, which gave the piece its famous name "Air on the G String".

Hello, how can I get the PDF of the score so I can print it?
@Signore_SАй бұрын
It was published by Magyar Korus in 1938; I don't think anyone uploaded that edition on IMSLP yet and this is not that edition either. This is an edition from 2020 from EMI, so please check if the edition is not in copyright in your country, and email me (email at channel bio).

Such an incredible performance of an insanely hard piece. Super interesting that Bartok includes the Ab piccolo clarinet - Clarinet in Lab! Although it’s mostly in unison with the Eb clarinet - Clarinet in Mib - interesting to see it get the occasional solo passage! 👍
