What length yoke did you get? My driveshaft was 1inch sticking out of the tranny tail. Wasn’t flushed
@MattyXBuilds4 күн бұрын
I wanna say I said it in the video but you wanna bottom out the yoke in the trans and then pull it back out like a half inch or so. That’s why I used the dingo engine mounts to slide engine and trans back and then drilled new holes in the frame for the trans crossmember
@AngelRamirez-ur8rx5 күн бұрын
Late but my driveshaft is exactly the same. The tail sticks out a bit like 1 inch or so. Did it drive good or had anything problems?
@MattyXBuilds4 күн бұрын
I never drove it when the shaft was barely in, I only drove it after I moved engine and trans back and it was fine!

Matt did you ever figure out how to utilize the heated and cooled seats im thinking of buying 2014-2018 high country of Denali seats but i want to be able to use the heated and cooled seat when I install it in my obs
@MattyXBuilds4 күн бұрын
It should work with a powered switch if you wired one up to the connector on the bottom of the seat but no I haven’t got to that part yet, I have been focused on other areas of the truck

@jameshuelsman78888 күн бұрын
@MattyXBuilds I would imagine it is 3/4 of a liter more displacement and all would be weird if it wasn't

Why wouldn't you want airbags and abs?
@MattyXBuilds12 күн бұрын
I went to non-abs to get rid of the hard to bleed module that comes factory on some OBS trucks. This helps stiffen up the infamous spongy brake pedal along with the NBS master cylinder swap I did in the videos after this on. As for the airbags, if you watch further along in my videos I did an interior swap and it wasn’t really reasonable to keep airbags. Seatbelts will do the job just fine in my opinion. Great question seriously, I appreciate the question!

I bout a led set and when I went to install the drivers side it was to long hit a body post(I think it was) that was behind it I guess those cleared it fine? Whenever I’ve changed my low beam headlight bulbs I always just tilted them out like that
@MattyXBuilds12 күн бұрын
These fit alright in my opinion, a little snug getting them in there but it’s been almost a year now and I haven’t had any issues

Thanks for the 14057 part number. Came out to my colorado (06 3.5L) with a completely lose shifter one night- same thing happened where the cable popped of the trans. Drilled it out with a 3/8 drill bit and just stuck the hard orange plastic bit in there for now. Will have to get a bigger bit soon for the orange softer one to fit as well. Though this gets me around for now. I appreciate you posting this, as I wasn't sure what plastic bushing would fit onto my trans.

Matty it’s been a while since I’ve seen your videos didn’t know you came back . My notifications wasn’t on any more weird .so what happened to the obs why is the engine out again and how’s the interior holding up did you get the heaters and cooled seat working on it ?
@MattyXBuildsАй бұрын
Hey bro, it’s all good! Haven’t messed with the interior really. February of 23 the first LS spun a rod while we were chasing a lean issue, I covered it all in the videos if you’re interested in catching up. But for now we’re building this 6.0 that was for the dually to put in the Low Country!
@jameshuelsman7888Ай бұрын
Super stoked to see it get dropped in and rolling again that was a pretty simple way of getting engine primed up without having to do some funky stuff or just running ut dry!

I bought the same one!!! I am build a Ls3 for a swap. It's going in a 03'Crown Vic Police Interceptor. Its a project with my grandkids. I had a Ls3 block fall in my lap for $500 and a set of low milage 821 heads fom a Corvette for $300. I had the block machined so I know it's empty. I am going to prime it the same way. I just got the heads finished with all new factory valves. Hopefully in the next week or 2, I will making a similar video for my grandkids.
