Yes i have done this fix thanks to a youtuber Frugalrepair. The only thing was a line at the very top of the screen about 1/8 down. I pit a strip of black tape across the top and it blends in with the bezel.

Hello! Thank you so much for this video! hoping to do something like you did replacing the RCA cables. I know this video was a while ago. Was hoping to get your 2 cents here if you have time :) I have an issue where i'm getting buzz through the same Kenwood KD-3070. When I have my turntable going > phono > amplifier I get a buzz that increases with my volume. when using another turntable (RT-85) at the beginning of the chain there is no buzz, with same headshell. When touching the RCA connectors with my fingers the buzz gets louder. Also when hearing the same buzz when unplugging my turntables power adapter. The RCA cables which were just replaced by a tech. No buzz on his test bench. I've tried moving the turntable to a different location. tried bypassing my external phono and going directly to the built in phono on my integrated amplifier. I'm assuming the cables that were installed aren't properly shielded? I'm wondering if there are other work arounds besides replacing another cable.
@raysrepairsottawa4 ай бұрын
I am certainly not an expert on turntables, but you can try make sure the unit is grounded to the amp you are using. There is usually a ground wire which you would connect to the chassis of the amp. Also try check very closely on the small wires at the back of the cartridge, maybe one has broken. Good luck.
@irhymeswithpie4 ай бұрын
@@raysrepairsottawaTy. Forgot to mention that I am using the ground wire from turntable to phono. Even tried continuing that ground with another cable from phono to amp with same result

Also tried using the same car from my rt85 and still has the same buzz. Gets louder with the volume.

It could be that you need to move the tape one pin left or right. Sometimes you get close to perfect, then cover one extra pin and it becomes perfect.

Hi, would you know the motor model number?
@jasejj6 ай бұрын
Wow that is so cheap and nasty, I've never seen one with a plastic panel chassis! But then these 32" sets are ridiculously cheap now so something has to give I guess. I'd have thought though that the lifespan of these won't be great without the heat sinking effect of the metal chassis. Any idea which Chinese OEM is putting these out?

If the backlight isn't working, will this method work?
@raysrepairsottawa6 ай бұрын
Hi, if the backlight is not working, this will NOT fix it. The backlight itself will need to be repaired. You can search with the model number on this site ( shopjimmy.com ) and see what the replacement cost would be. Good Luck.

@raysrepairsottawa6 ай бұрын
I would suggest starting with a very small piece of tape...like only covering 2 pins...and move across the ribbon gradually....sometimes its a matter of one pin left or right and it works. It can be time consuming and frustrating. Good luck.

It happened to me yesterday after 2 years using a brand new LG TV and indeed I fixed it that way as you shown. But I was wondering what cause this problem? It is very weird...In case for example changing the whole "faulty" cable with a brand new one it will work or the only solution is to cover some pins with tape?
@raysrepairsottawa7 ай бұрын
I asked myself the same question and to be honest I am not sure. I have read somewhere online that it is actually a problem in the LCD panel itself. Glad you got your set going :-)

Empty box with a little triangle on top (B) Horizontal box with the following words: Empty Title, 2:00:00 SP (2 Hr) (C) Empty vertical box with the following words above SP (2 Hr) Does that make any sense.?
