Thanks for your help. My chemistry final is in approximately a month. Could you please give me some advice so I can get a full mark? In the midterm and quizz, I made a small mistake or two in each, and I don't know how to avoid these mistakes.
@websterscience792111 күн бұрын
Focus on truly understanding the principles behind each topic, not just memorizing formulas or procedures. Review your notes, textbook, and any provided study guides.Review your past errors to understand why you made them. Were they due to a misunderstanding of concepts, careless math errors, or misreading questions? Take a moment to fully understand each question before you start solving. Look for key terms and units. Leave time to go back and verify calculations, units, and significant figures. Good luck.

the correct answer on aleeks would be (3 sig figs) 85. K to 90.K 188. C to -183. C

For anyone who watches this video in the future, there's a few mistakes in this video. Here is how to do the math correctly. The first step, he accidentally says to divide 2. You want to multiply 15.9994 by 2, which gives the answer 31.9988. You then want divide 314. by 31.9988 to get the answer he got, 9.812867983. He instead by mistake says to multiply 31.9988 by 314. Follow these 2 steps, and you will get the correct answer of 9.81 Moles of Oxygen.

Hey! Thank you so much for your videos-they have been extremely helpful for me this whole semester. I have another problem under this same name, but it has two nitro groups and is talking about rotational kinetic energy. Is there any way you could do a video with an example of the rotational problem?
@websterscience7921Ай бұрын
Ok How did you get such a hard sounding problem. It is still easy. Whatever your top number of epsilons is will be shared between your 2 nitro groups. If for instance your number of states is 10e then the 1st nitro could have all 10 of the kinetic energies and the 2nd would have 0. Or the 1st 9 and the second 1 etc. Since the 1st group can go down to 0, there must be 1 more state than you number. In this example, W would =11. The lower energy is the same. Add 1 to the number of epsilons and you have your second W. Whichever one is the last goes on top of your fraction and the other goes on the bottom then do it as I explained in the video you watched. Best I can do. Good luck.

Thank you! I was really scratching my head on this problem and this video finally helped me figure it out.

Why couldn't we just say 1/3 for the product and reactant then?
@websterscience7921Ай бұрын
the concentration of the profits raised to its coefficient over the concentration of reactants raised. to its coefficient is equal to K. the numbers of reactants and products are not necessarily equal to the K.

He accidentally said to divide by 2, when he meant to say multiply by 2. If that's what you are referring to.
@ChickenScratch-Feathers19 күн бұрын
Disregard my previous comment... I see exactly what you mean... this math is not adding up... I'm double checking it with my calculator, and I am getting completely different answers from what he is saying to multiply and divide.... I have just 3 more weeks left of the semester. Aah My brain is so fried.
@websterscience792119 күн бұрын
@@ChickenScratch-Feathers I rewatched the video and you are right. I multiplied of course because there are 2 oxygens in the molecule. I said divide. Sorry, you don't need someone to confuse you though I think the mistake could be easily caught. Otherwise the math is correct and the problem's answer is correct. Good luck as you finish the term.

@websterscience7921 No you're fine! The video helped me to get my Aleks topic done, so it was very helpful! Once I figured out that little mistake it was all smooth sailing. And, I gotta cut you some slack, this is a 7 year old video after all lol. Thank you!! Just gotta get through gen chem 1 (almost finished with it.) gen chem 2, and then organic and I can graduate! Have a good rest of your night.

Note to anyone in the future watching this: - The criteria is not that a mineral should not contain carbon, but that it should be inorganic (carbon + hydrogen). Diamond, which is all just purely carbon, is a mineral. - Mercury is not a mineral because it does not have a crystalline structure or a solid structure Edit: grammar
