My stitch marker slowly travels around the figure. It won't stick to the bottom. Resulting in a crooked dinosaur. I've tried making one stitch less, right at the beginning, but then, it travels, just as slowly, the other way around the figure. What am I doing wrong?
@sweetcreekpatterns
@sweetcreekpatterns 2 күн бұрын
Hmm… I would recommend keeping your st marker on the bottom side by doing a couple more sc sts and just move your st marker. Typically my st marker does shift while working each Rnd, but I don’t think it should go around the body. Hopefully that helps!🧶

I got lost on row 7! You say I should be left with 21 stitches, but when you add it up it only equals 20 stitches...not 21... I had 16 stitches in row 6 which is correct But for row 7 this is what I did.... First sc first 4 stitches = 4 then 2 increase + 1 sc = 7 then 2 increase + 1 sc = 10 then 2 increase + 1 sc = 13 then 2 increase = 1 sc = 16 then sc last 4 = 20 stitches........NOT 21 stitches. I went ahead and increased one of the last four stitches to make 21, but that is not what you said to do..... What am I missing?

Here is what I have written on my blog: Rnd: 7: Sc 4, *inc, sc,* x4, inc, sc 3. (21) Here is the link to the free pattern: sweetcreekpatterns.com/crochet-dinosaur-triceratops/ Sorry for the confusion! Hope this helps!

Thank you! My grandma made a baby blanket for me like this over 35 years ago. She passed away in May, and I want to recreate the blanket for my cousin's first baby due in June. My grandma taught me to crochet, and i searched in her craft supplies thus summer, but I didn't find the pattern. I asked my grandma about it years ago, but I couldn't visualize what she was saying. I just happened upon your channel today and I'm super impressed! I'm 30 years old and have been crocheting my entire life and I can't compete man, I am still a novice 😂 I would pick it up and put it down and rarely finish a project (hi, I have ADHD lol) but I've been learning and doing a whole lot more the last couple of years and actually finishing projects for a change and I can't wait to make your octopus (he'll be my first stuffed creation as well as arguably, the most complex project I've done so far so fingies crossed) and I am also so so glad you offer left handed tutorials as well!! One of my friends just started to learn but she's left handed and has had a hell of a time trying to find decent left handed tutorials and honestly, I tried to help her find some and, it is a STRUGGLE. So when I saw you offer both left and right handed guides, I sent her a link to your channel so fast! I hope you keep up the good work and thank you for doing what you're doing!!

If you are going to make this pillow with #4 worsted weight yarn, and you still want it to turn out bigger I would recommend that you use 2 or 3 strands of the worsted weight yarn together, and use a bigger hook size. I would also highly recommend making a little swatch with the # of strands and the hook size you want to use to make sure that there won't be holes with stuffing showing through on your final make!
