awesome! i built one very similar to this the firebox area was a little different but basically the same downdraft. i only fired it a few times it worked pretty well. I hit cone 4 with a weed burner and 3 grill sized propane tanks... it also grows moss very well now.

I could really tell exactly where on the right finger do you pull the wall up. I think it is the middle of finger, I between the knuckles, but not sure:(

Are you by chance any relation to Ted Randall, inventor of the famous wheel that bears his name?
@chrisamar51379 жыл бұрын
Paul, how come your Brent wheel is so much quieter than others I've use and heard?

This is cleaver. I already had the sprayer from chinese clay art and was thrilled to see how he eliminated the light headedness from blowing so much. I have been successful in following his directions. Thank you for your clear explanation,

I'm terrible at throwing. I can make a beautiful vase. but, throwing always seems to be my downfall. These tips will surely help!!

ps, with you're suggestion "make your own tools" that straight edge trick makes me wonder, if not liberal, but conservative profiles could be used. - that thought just popped into my head just now... so.. I wouldn't know. I kinda think it would be a challenge to follow what I'd call a "potter's pattern stick" but..... who knows until you try for yourself, ey?

Great Video, Thanks for sharing. I am new to this as well. I already had the instinct to improvise the stick technique for smooth walls. When I saw you do it, I thought "I must be on the right track" - I was very pleased to you do that trick. I thought I might be "cheating" or something. One thing is for sure, that straight edge can deliver silky smooth and true/straight surface on that cylinder. Trick is to get both top & bottom of that cylinder to be equal in diameter.
