Did you catch CP 8781 that day? 8781 was on 2-247 and probably passed by Northbrook around noon. There was also a CP GP23 and a KCS GEVO trailing

It is a fun line but you have to go on the right day, because if you go for example between 9-4 on a day where only dailies run you will only get 3 CP trains but if you go on a good day you can get 7-10 trains

@@MainTrack1Prodctions I've caught over 60 trains on the C&M trains on my session of railfanning. I'd take 2102 to Deerfield or Northbrook then go go home on outbound 2151 or 2157

I take 2102 in Round Lake, 04:56. Woke up at 03:45 for this trip. Then I didn't come home til after 10pm. So I had to of taken 2151 home. How hours would you clock that in as....? Funny as a heart attack you think i like staying home while on call? I'd rather be out there... Prowling around all night dedicated.

Nice catch on the Milwaukee heritage unit. Going to show my age but I can remember catching Amtrak turboliners at the Lake Cook grade crossing driving for my first full time job with the spur leading into the foundry at the northwest corner of the crossing, real Milwaukee Road freight and even rainbow era Amtrak as a kid.
