That first stencil you show is brilliant-so versatile, as you say. And I love that gorgeous leaf pattern. And yes, actually using tape instead of just recommending it is quite helpful, lol.

This is SO beautiful. I could use this stencil in so many ways. Also thanks for reminding me about the Pan pastels that I haven't used in ages.

Imagine my delight upon seeing your video in my feed! How have you been? I was curious to know if a sand eraser would remove the paint oops from your paper? Such a pretty stencil! ❤

Thank you Delores. I used a kneaded eraser to take off the Pan pastel.

The prints are really gorgeous. What do you do with all of them though? My cup runneth over with geliprints 🙂
@valeriesjodin51942 жыл бұрын
Thanks Phyllis. Great question. I just organized my geliprints, so it's fresh on my mind. I used them for mixed media paintings. You're question makes me think some blog posts may be helpful to show some of those etc.

Where do you buy your notebook and how does it hold up to inks, paints, etc.? Thanks so much - this is beautiful!

Susan, the past two years I bought a number of different journals like this to test out. I'll probably do a review after this year. This one is from Notebook Therapy and so far has done well with paints etc.

Bought it. Love it. It would be nice if you made it into a smaller stencil of the larger houses. Do you wash the stencils after you do each color of do you let it build up with paints? Thank you
@valeriesjodin51943 жыл бұрын
Great idea! I do wash my stencils after each use, although not everyone does. I use isopropyl alcohol when the paint gets too thick on the stencils.

Thank you for showing how you drew the cups and saucers. My perspective is all skewed when I try to add the saucers to cups. Now to figure out shading. I enjoyed watching your process for embellishing your calendar page.

Pretty! You make the shading look so easy. When I try to doodle lines for shading, it looks dorky. I'm glad I've watched you color in your feathers as I have a feather stencil too. I've used it in my journal a couple of years ago, but I see I could have done so much more with it. Did you come up with your feather designs by looking at real feathers or are they just imagined ones? By the way, I've been binge watching a British archeology channel called Time Team. Have you watched any of those? I like the broken bits of pottery that come to light or the design of the jewelry or coins they have found. It's been really interesting so far.
@valeriesjodin51943 жыл бұрын
Thanks Delores. I get feather inspiration from real feathers and imagined. I've been painting feathers for a long time. The more you look and draw/paint real ones the more you can imagine.
