Great video! The root beer is one of the best looking Rolexes, in my opinion. I do have to mention that "Greenwich" is actually pronounced "gren-itch". It's odd, but that's just the case with so many U.K. place names.

I like the look of these old watches and I had the original Formula 1 blue/white which was a few hundred at the time :) , but this new kith crap thats just come out at £1500+ is such a over priced piece of garbage! Just when you thought TAG were making positive moves they pull a big fat cash grab.

This has to be one of the rarest JDM cars now... I had a red one like 20 years ago and there wasnt many left that werent destroyed... i assume now a low km 96 SRV is almost non existent

Having a smaller wrist I was torn between the black bay 54, Rolex Explorer 36 & Rolex datejust 36. My heart was set on the datejust until I tried it on and realised it was too much of a dress watch for my everyday wearing needs. I purchased the Tudor black bay 54 and it's perfect in every way, except I still have a Rolex itch to scratch so think I'll be getting the explorer 36 also. If this black bay 54 had the Rolex badge it would be a slam dunk 1 and done watch it's that good.

There simply isn't a watch that every collector needs. Nobody needs a bb54, nobody needs a dive watch, and nobody needs mechanical watches either. Mechanical watches are fashion, just like branded t shirts and designer bags. Watch collectors really need to stop sniffing their own farts.

While you are spot on , I wonder why u need to add such comments . You really think watch collectors does not know? If u r the type who believe in 1 watch in 2024 , it wouldn’t be Tudor , I assure u. If they insist, don’t fight, cause they are either young, financially still not stable or they are momentarily in love . Give them 1 - 3 years, they will buy sth else lol

As a mechanical watch collector, I agree that they are fashion. However, I do enjoy pairing it with different outfit combinations to stand out from the common crowd. Also, having a timepiece that I've worked so hard for reminds me that time is precious and I have to treat it with respect.

Great review with a thoughtful balance of specs and personal experience/feeling about it. I’m stunned by how much I love my BB54. Coming from someone with both a BB58 and Rolex Explorer 36mm - I’ve found myself exclusively reaching for the BB54 for 3 months straight. Killer value, simple charm, seamless on the wrist. Cheers!

This! I was offered the rolex explorer 1 a month after this was released. For me i haveusted after the bb58 but have been waiting for the uodated bracelet i saw coming through the line. This 54 is better than both watches i think because its a tool watch that can also dress up on leather andook good from the age of 20 to 80 when youre a frandla

It's a nice looking watch with sensible size, no doubt. But I don't think it's what every watch collector needs. Not everyone has the same taste. BTW, you're using a lavalier mic, can't you just clip that on your shirt and go hands free? That's what it's designed for.

Hi, if I saw correctly, did you have a problem starting it at the beginning, that the engine starter didn't turn over? I came across problem like that in my 1996 lude 4gen that sometimes starter wont turn over unless i tap the gas pedal or at some point it just catch and start without any problem. I was wondering if maybe it is common problem for that gen.
