This is gonna sound completely random, but I think Persona 5’s Holy Grail has similar themes to TikTok, senators are doing a terrible job at showing how TikTok can be dangerous. Yet when you go on TikTok itself, you see people saying TikTok is their safe place, and that Shou will save them. It sorta reminds me of how the people near the Holy Grail scream not to hurt it. Cellphone has a new meaning to itself now. The phone is our cell. The same way people in the depths were also stuck in cells, but still enjoyed it. Because they had the holy grail. People in our world are stuck in “mental cells,” endlessly scrolling on some app but still being happy because it’s TikTok, and if anyone criticizes it, the public retaliates against them.

After recently finishing p5r i can say that this song is a BOP but also gives off unsettling and stressful vibes. I just couldn't explain to anyone how powerful this song is and I'm impressed they could compose something so unique that works the way it does. Not to mention this song fits the depths of mementos' atmosphere and the uncertainty you feel when exploring so perfectly. Definitely a top 5 for me.

This theme really encapsulates the idea that the masses have a role in the downfall of the world… that our collective sloth and unwillingness to change is the reason we still continue to suffer

by far one of my most favourite palace themes, even playing the game it felt sad and disturbing for the environment that the song was playing in yet it still seems sooo relaxing

This OST catches perfectly the insinuation of how sometime life is living like mindless NPC just going with the flow and order routine each of our different lives. Very melancholic but tonewise can be upbeat interpreted too. Gamewise it also emphasized the more deeper underground we went the more sad and depressing it becomes like how we burrow deeper into the very root of life's actual sad reality

As a Persona fan, i've noticed that the theme for every "bad" ending consists of the theme for the last enemy's castle/palace. I always found it pretty cool. Kind of like a sneak peak at what you missed. Persona 3's bad ending/good ending have the same theme, which interests me even more.

Is it bad that this song makes me feel kind of bad for the villains? Like, I know what they did. But fuck, man. The that distortion sound used as percussion. The piano. It just…I don’t know. It makes you feel the crushing weight of their regret as they realize what they’ve done and their heart breaks. …Being a bad guy fucking sucks, man.
