89 has her B&O 3 chime back, but 475 needs her N&W hooter back, too. I think a hooter is a much proper whistle for 475, because the hooter was the N&W's famous whistle. I like the SP 6 chime on 475, but I like it better when she wears her hooter. And frankly, I think 475 is a misfit locomotive with that SP 6 chime on her.

eh the hooter whistle is mid tbh. I respect your opinion but a hooter whistle dosn't have all that strength behind it. 475 and a SP 6 chime is a perfect combo. She isn't a "misfit" with the whistle.

Don't forget there's a fourth engine going to be at Strasburg shortly: Legendary C&O "Greenbrier" 614. Her owners picked the Strasburg shop folks to handle her second restoration in 2025, and rumor has it she'll haul a couple of trains on the line like N&W 611 did a few years back as test runs. Another giant 4-8-4 will be steaming in Lancaster County!
