I moved here from Colorado and I hate it here. It's overcrowded, people are rude, nobody takes pride in their state, food is terrible and your quality of life is not good. I've been here two years and have been in two accidents both not mysteriously fault, one totaled car and the other from some crazy ass hole trying to pass me in the shoulder. My truck was broken into at work. I just hate it here and want to move back to Colorado so bad. But I bought a house in a new community and I just cant sell right now.. I do Love my job though

I know exactly where this is. That white house owner must have got tired of cutting all that grass and sold his large front yard to build six houses. I wonder how much he sold it for.

how would it be if a tourist comes there for like a week are the prices high or low and is car rental cheap or expensive
@LivingInCharlotteTeamКүн бұрын
Depends on what you consider normal but a lot cheaper than New York. If you're looking at a nice Airbnb ($500-$600), nice food ($300-$400), and rental car ($300-$500), then total $1,100 to $1,500. Definitely visit!

😂 people cursing each other even driving 25 miles per hour in forest hills...every day. Cars zooms right behind little kids' back even they haven't finished crossing the street in Queens! People got burned, robbed, pushed in subway but you still need to pay closed to $3 per ride😂 hard to love NYC anymore

Bears also are in eastern NC towards the coast. They occasionaly like to visit the central cities, especially Greensboro, Winston-Salem, and Hickory areas and can cause quite the spectacle.

Yep, I've heard about bear sightings in suburbia - even in Davidson, NC - but I know it's rare. I've only seen bears by Asheville, and only when I was hiking without bear bells. Thanks for watching & sharing your experience! -Lukas

What a sales pitch! Hot and very humid in the summer. Cold and damp all winter. Fall is great until you have to rake all those damn leaves. Driving, stay out of the Raleigh area. Those people are just Aholes. I lived there several times, never again.

7:40 I’ve hiking in the NC mountains for 15 years and I have never seen a bear or encountered a bear while hiking the only area u have to watch for them is closer to black mountain, Asheville, and Cherokee but if ur hiking in other parts there’s a good change u won’t see or find a bear coming close to you. Also a lot of the bears in NC don’t go near humans anyway unless it’s a mother protecting its children.
@LivingInCharlotteTeam3 күн бұрын
I saw one right before the hurricane when I was hiking the Blue Ridge Parkway. Haven't personally seen one in ENC, but I've heard about it. Usually bear bells are enough to keep them away. Thanks for watching & sharing your experience living here for 15 years! -Lukas

Here is another Tip, never buy a Townhouse or House built on a slab in this area, you need a crawl space for insulation and Radon Gas is a real thing here in some areas, it will slowly kill you. Older communities are dealing with lead pipes, there is so much to know, and if you have a good realtor like this guy you won’t get sucked into the New Construction nightmare. I know from experience, and sold a home I bought when I first moved to Charlotte, because I had to start my new job I rushed into a new home in an area I didn’t know a lot about, 7 years later I sold the home after putting 10,000 in it on landscaping and a fence and deck, only to walk away with $ 2,000 in equity because they were building several phases to the community. Buyer beware.
@TimC2-q6o6 күн бұрын
I have left many comments about HOAs in Charlotte, and his information about poor construction is spot on. People are buying Homes in a new community near me that I know that area floods. These homes are selling for $400,000. Plus a HOA for nothing. Some of these communities don’t have City garbage pickup, and the roads in the community is private, so if the roads need to be repaired, then the home owners have to pay for it. Listen to this guy. Do your homework on the property. Never buy a Townhouse unless it’s in Town. This is a great Video.
@TimC2-q6o6 күн бұрын
If you are interested in moving to Charlotte please do your homework, I suggest that you live as close as possible to your job. Charlotte is a fast growing City and the roads, school ‘s and healthcare are struggling to keep up. If you are young and want excitement move close to uptown, if you have kids in school then stop and do your homework. Do not buy a Townhouse unless it is in Town, they are building them everywhere, I live in Gaston Co. and people are paying $ 399,000 for a new Townhouse plus the HOA. Careful of planned communities the HOA will eat your lunch. Buy in a well developed area because the City is growing so quickly that where you might think is a little rural won’t be for long. I will not tell you where to live, you need to figure that out based on your job and schools. Crime is something that all Cities have, a realtor can’t tell you not to buy in a certain area, but ask locals that have been here a while. I have lived here almost 35 years and I have seen it change rapidly. There are a lot of videos on KZbin from realtors, who need to make a living, you should try to get here and spend a week which is not enough time to figure out the City but would help if you spent at least 8 hours a day driving around to all parts of the city. Good Luck 🍀

Gaston County is up and coming, Belmont, Mt. Holly, and other various small towns that run together, Traffic is a nightmare however. But I suggest you check them out. Easy to get to the Airport. If you are considering moving to Charlotte I suggest that you try to afford a home close to your job or you will spend half your off time in traffic. The River District is a NO suggestion from me, do your homework, the HOAs are going to eat you alive, how else are they going to pay for all the wonderful lifestyle options. You know as well as me, HOAs always go up. Plus right across the River is a Duke Energy coal plant, that the company says will close in 20 years. Then consider that you will be right under a flight path from the ever growing Charlotte Douglas Airport. It’s all smoke and mirrors to me.

We’d actually prefer to see nobody come here! Congestion, real estate prices etc have skyrocketed in recent years, and those are VERY undesirable to us! Yes, it’s true, massive insects, alligators, venomous snakes the length of a power pole, brain eating amoebas in the water as well as their cousins the flesh eating amoebas, bears hiding in your car to attack you when you head to work in the morning. Best off to avoid all these negatives and stay up north!

As someone who doesn't drive but still wants to work, Charlotte seems ideal. But I love the safety and education aspects in Raleigh. I would prefer to live in the suburbs of the city. My career path is either higher education or mental health care. My niece does have seasonal allergies. I don't need snow. I live in Chicago, so I won't miss it when I leave it.

Traffic is a pain in the ass due to yet another complex being built that has zero benefit to you ! Mid ass bars and boring ass people that look at you side ways if you’re not white with a polo, dockers, or Lu Lu lemon on !

SIDE NOTE: every neighborhood lack diversity unless you’re on south blvd or central ave. The new growth of charlotte pushed every black person out in the middle of no where Every black neighborhood has been replaced, Charlotte lacks swagger. If you’re a white, i want to just fit in, corporate sheep. You would love that city ! Food truck Restaurants Bars Beer gardens And trash ass teams Is the only thing to do there And every restaurant closes around 10 ! City sleeps early overall
