Whats the sequence in pouring the slab on deck? Is it from top to bottom or going up?

I cant figure out how the walls are connected together? Are they in any way secured to the slab?
@frogmanairborne

yes, they are usually locked in with what we call a "closure pour".

I would love to see this in a much slower time pace to appreciate the time and effort to construct this magnificent structure. What a great video.! please make more 😊

The welder is stitching panels! Panels are not typically stitched, but once in the while the engineering calls for them to be.

How is the wall secured after the propping rod is removed?
@BedrockConcreteCorp
@BedrockConcreteCorp Жыл бұрын
The panels actually are fully secured by the structural steel prior to the braces being removed. You can see the steel being installed starting at the 3:30 mark in the video. Good question!

Hi Frank! After the concrete panels are lifted and braced down, but before the structural steel is installed, it might look a little flimsy from a distance. Rest assured, the braces holding the panels in place are more than strong enough to keep them upright until the structural steel is installed. They can withstand heavy winds in this state, not to mention, the panels themselves are reinforced with rebar too! If you want to see what the next step looks like, watch this video from our channel: kzbin.info/www/bejne/i3SulaiumtyDbLM

I see the same design and building being built around metro Detroit. What are they?

Tilt-Up buildings have many uses and can have all kind of inhabitants! We build mostly offices, retail spaces, warehouses, automotive shops/garages and religious and recreational facilities with this process, but one of this shape and size is likely either a warehouse, an office building or a combination of the two.

Why no rebar in the concrete?
@BedrockConcreteCorp
@BedrockConcreteCorp Жыл бұрын
The rebar is in the pier and trench footings beneath this slab! There is also rebar in the wall panels that have since been lifted. We have a video of this project's foundation being constructed too: kzbin.info/www/bejne/qoDUeZatj6igndE

This is how all Amazon buildings are made

Most of the new concrete Amazon warehouses are built using the precast method which utilizes the same panel lifting practice seen here, but there are some differences between the precast method and the Tilt-Up method that Bedrock uses!
