Well lad. Appreciate I'm 2 years late, but how much beet were you feeding them? Were you giving them meal as well? I'm feeding beet this winter for the first time and i find it impossible to know how much your feeding them.

Every farms different start off small bits and build up , we were putting in beetchoper full a day across with meal and silage , ul know if you give to much cattle wont eating and or lying down

if beet is washed u can feed more to cattle than dirty beet .....the clay will sicken them .... store bullock 500 kg can be fed 15 kg day and will not take much silage to keep it going after .......
