I loooooove the pr strategies you guys talked about inside of this video around the idea of personal branding. On that same tip, I think you're leaving a lot left to be desired on the personal branding saide via KZbin that could 10x your brand and the pod Mind if I shoot over a video explaining how?

Great question - Collaboration is the term used on the B2C/DTC side and super effective. Also, leveraging "influencers" is another form it takes but that is more compensation driven vs. leveraging each other's influence.

Teams has awful support for Linux, so if you have users on that platform, Slack is pretty much required even if you äre on O365.

The weakness of Workspace is also its strength, if they could make the core three tools of sheets, docs and slides as powerful as the Microsoft Office trinity they could really eat into their market share but they would need to go onto the desktop but that's not really google.

In real life, 99,99999999999999999999999% of users are using no more than 1% of MS Office functions. Google Docs have all features necessary in regular office work, and something extra - QUERY function in Google Sheets.

Great insights here. Last year was the first time I got to see how vital strategic partnerships are to GTM strategy. Being part of an organization who has an individual or team who's exclusive focus is to build out these partnerships really makes an impact. Not only does the company get to go to the events put on by the Alliances they are now partnered with and ultimately create more opportunities for business but the day to day life of AEs and BDRs and type of outreach being done is much more strategic and fruitful. It's like being part of a secret club, once you're in, you have a password in a sense that helps your prospects see you as a peer instead of a stranger trying to persuade them to do something. Strategic partnerships are the way. I can't imagine what it would feel like to not have them as a resource to leverage. Great episode gentleman!

Thanks for this, I'm part of the M365 camp. Also, what are your thoughts on using Teams as a freelancer? Can you throw out invitations to clients for video conferences and instant messaging channels while restricting their access outside of that?
@taywells
@taywells 2 жыл бұрын
Hey Jawa - Great question. Teams is great for inviting third parties but I will say Zoom has a higher adoption rate so more people have Zoom installed on their workstations. That being said, Teams is great if you are looking for video conferencing and instant messaging. Just note that they need Teams installed on their workstation and have a free M365 account to access it.

@@taywells WoW, I got the notification for your reply 5 days later. Thanks though. I have a follow up question: does this mean that it doesn't really make sense for freelancers to commit to Teams for video conferencing with clients because of its low adoption and the prerequisite that teams be installed on their computer?
