Really nice. Their instruments blend so well. The song reminds me of some of the duets we do in church. In this setting, the sustain on the bass is so important. It makes me want to get an upright bass and learn to bow.
@agtrst22 күн бұрын
Thanks Mick. The guitar/cello duet is one of my most favorite combination, even better when it's a classical guitar with the nylon strings. Someone told me once that they go well because the tone of the cello is close to the human singing voice. Yes, those low notes on the cello are great.

Great performance and arrangement. You really captured Minnie's vibe, right down to the 'blue note'.
@agtrst22 күн бұрын
Thanks! The arrangement was written by my friend, Daisuke Minamizawa, who is a popular fingerstyle guitarist in Japan. He also arranged the Georgia On My Mind version I play.

One of my favorite aspects of that song is the guitar solo with that chorus effect and a little reverb apparently. It’s just so warm and nostalgic.

Thanks for your comment. I hope you liked my version of it. Yes, that "sound" reminds me of Stills' work from Buffalo Springfield and CS&N days.

@@agtrst Hey, thanks very much. A little encouragement goes a long way. Btw, I had the pleasure to see Crosby, Stills and Nash in Sydney, Australia, twice when they toured here about ten or so years ago. Stephen Stills guitar work is always superb and especially so in this song when he combined with David Crosby. And Graham Nash was the glue that held this band together. His voice was as good as it had ever been. They seems to be genuinely happy to be playing their songs to an appreciative audience.
