I'm going out here next week. Does this require two vehicles? How do you get to the top? Looks like you'd have to start a climb from Teton Pass trailhead and end at Trail Creek trailhead.. Unless you want to climb another 1200 feet back to Teton Pass trailhead.. Hmm
@bike_somm12 күн бұрын
I’m not sure if there’s still snow up too or not, but it’s one where you park at the top and have a car at the bottom to get you back up at the end of the day! Hopefully you got out and had a blast riding in Wyoming

@bike_somm27 күн бұрын
@@SemiSendy lol ~ Not a terrible price honestly for what your getting out of a 9,000$ bike.. mavens, lifetime frame wheels with i9 one hubs, xo transmission, adjustable travel and Geo which is more than what most companies offer in a all round one bike to cover many categories of bike use

@@bike_somm I’m referring to another round of proprietary shocks and the removal of mechanical cable routing
@bike_somm27 күн бұрын
@@SemiSendy I get it.. but as a mechanic 👨🏻🔧 who works on bikes 6 days a week with only one day off.. my blood sweat and tears for working on bikes simply disappears when I look at this shock and how easy it will be to service. Also if anything goes wrong it’s not “proprietary” being made by Fox & they are and have been extremely reliable to work with when anything goes wrong with any of their shocks that need warranty or internal service. Anywho time will tell kUz I personally see cableless drivetrains and bikes like the stumpy nothing less than a Dream to work on compared to many other bikes in this MTB category

What are your thoughts about used a downhill bike, or would you recommend an enduro
@bike_sommАй бұрын
For this race? Definitely an all mountain or Enduro bike over a DH bike.. This isn’t a real “DH” Course. In general, for bike parks.. a DH bike would be able to take more abuse then an Enduro bike.

Lol, nobody’s worried about fatigue on the carbon models ☝🏼 think they would release bikes they trust with the warranty they give along with it~ Otherwise it wouldn’t make sense to launch something that would fail absolutely 🤓

Capable of switching between either mullet options and full 29 as well as adjustable travel options from 150mm rear 160mm front to 160mm rear and 170mm front! Also a full 200mm dropper post on size 3 (medium) not many companies spec their medium bikes with that long of a dropper. Carbon bike is on par price wise with other great bike companies offering carbon only frame options for the MTB market.

I forget which wave, but I made sure to pedal hard at the beginning and pass as many people in my wave as possible and then only few ended up catching back up and passing me later after about 3/4 of the race when I started getting tired and fighting off a couple small cramps. Man... The trail conditions in this video look way better than they are right now. I just checked our the course, except culvert which the builders are working on, and grizzly has some pretty gnarly ruts! The rock garden on Eastside looked more rutted and bony, even Rocky seems like the right line is deeper and looks risky. I'm nervous about racing it for the first time this year!
