it is possible, but there are a lot of ships that have level requirements and the campaign basically restricted me from getting them at that point. After the campaign you can go grind some levels by doing some missions or quick cardamine runs and then go and get most of the ships(except: the order ship, juni's cool defender, nomad ships, transports, gunboats, cruisers and battleships) but on the Discovery Mod you can get all of the ships + so many more

its a restored intro sequence that a guy managed to get and upload on KZbin, unfortunately since the game was rushed out unfinished a lot of the things they wanted to add were scrapped :(

@@Andromalios Oh, OK then. No wonder the extension was scrapped though. It's filled with plotholes! How would the narrator escape a solar destruction event by being on the far side of Pluto as the sole survivor of the Sol system? Also, did he limp all the way to Sirius in that small dinghy? How long would his journey take? Could he beat the Nomads there? Also, if the Nomads are capable of extinguishing the Sun, why do they even bother with ship-to-ship dogfights and blowing up space stations like Freeport 7? I never knew they were that powerful! They are portrayed as a parasitic alien lifeform that slowly takes over governments from within. Shipping the game with that intro would have completely altered our perception of what we were playing.

sounds like you guys were playing on the Nightstalker Universe mod, I used to fly a Wraith Superhive ship from Stargate on that server, or the Normandy from Mass Effect

Discovery got an update a few months ago and they changed so many things, they also added a new sector called "Unknown" that you can get to through nomad looking super gate, but its still not populated

the nomads are just broken in the last part of the game :(

the crossfire campaign is so good

they had to remove much of the planned content unfortunately :(

its a great ship and it was my top pick as a kid because I am in love with the Outcast lore, but I honestly don't like the design that much, it reminds me of a romulan D'Deridex and while it would look amazing if a capital ship would be make in that style, as a fighter it just isn't for me, it would've been my top pick if they kept using the sleek design of the Dagger though

I did play it once, a few years ago and while it is a great space sim it didn't have the open world I enjoy so much in Freelancer

It's difficult to play today but I think it's still good.

Besides Everspace 1/2 which are amazing, there's Underspace that's in Alpha, I livestreamed it a bit a few days ago and its basically like a modded Freelancer + a few extra things, overall it looks really promising

@@Andromalios Ehh, I've played Everspace 2, it's literally nothing like Freelancer in terms of story. Freelancer is bloody epic, Everspace 2 left me wanting.

Rowlette's Revenge, a higher damage output laser turret yes. Also if I recall, those Navy Defenders also carried class 6 Moonstalkers.

its possible to mod the game so you can get any ship you want while playing the campaign, also the Crossfire mod adds more missions after the last one and you get to go back to Earth/Coalition Systems/Galaxy center and fight alongside the Dom Kavash against a bunch of aliens

@@R0d_1984 yes, in the settings you can adjust difficulty and you wont take damage anymore, but if I remember correctly you still blow up when trying to get into a planet

I wish i did, moved states and ''lost'' them, i used to play it once a year, miss the game alot (the only game that come close is X3, maybe X4 would be similar and less so ED)....

Freelancer is much better then ME, greater depth in certain areas minus having team mates etc, i enjoyed ME 1&2

Basically there's a spiritual successor to Freelancer that released recently called Underspace, I will probably stream it these days once I finish uploading the Freelancer playthrough

I put together the restored intros, basically they wanted to tie together Starlancer and Freelancer(which is why they created the ending for the Coalition being destroyed by the Nomads) the scene where the thief steals the artifact was also not added in the game, but someone managed to recover that intro, the reason might be because the release was rushed(the planned Rheinland content was also cut out of game)

I saw that being used in real time in Star Citizen as an AI assistant and also in Skyrim as a mod, it felt unreal

it might've been the Omicron Phi system, it was a kind of secret system for the Outcasts where they used to sell their battleships and stuff, it always looked cool because the biggest base was a torn apart planet under a black hole. They removed it unfortunately :(

there's Realm of Thrones for Mount and Blade 2 Bannerlord that was actually updated today, you might want to try it

I launch it every day and play a bit when I have like 15 minutes of free time at work, the Discovery mod is also still up and better than before

back in warband you could save the character and then edit the character to have close to infinite money and full stats
