I met a gentleman a little older than me and we at least I thought we had, a 4 month relationship. He ghosted me after 4 months because, 1) I occasionally sent him music 2) "I didn't listen to him" --was a loving and caring "girlfriend" and he left me devastated and wondering why. A man of his age ghosting me like a teenager. It was a few months that I got out of my doldrums and met a couple of guys on an online dating site for coffee, mainly to forget about him and to just get out of the house. I met someone 11 years younger than me who thinks the world of me and would never let a day go by without a text and a phonecall, sends me songs, and just can't give me enough attention and he works 6 days a week. My elderly next door neighbor told me that the universe would send me someone else, to not give up, and I guess I didn't,. Maintaining my health and active lifestyle has become my greatest priority along with human connections. Dating apps make life more difficult, I’ve witnessed so much lying about age and men talking about how 60 seems to be an expiry date for women🫤

Have you seen some men on the dating sites that are in their 60’s? They look like they are in their 70’s. I have noticed a lot of men past the age of 55 look terrible. And the 55 yrs olds want women in their 40’s that look like eye candy when the men are still holding on to their looks. And a lot of men bring nothing to the table because they lost everything to child support etc. I am 62 yrs old and can’t find anyone on these sites who can match what I bring to the table. I am self sufficient and no kids, no divorce and made it on my own. It would be nice to meet someone with a net worth over a million dollars and have what I have but it seems impossible. I would rather be single than have to take care of someone financially to travel etc.

Do you or anyone know why 50% of the men in their 50s, 60s and even 70s on online dating sites have never been married.... if they are so into finding a life partner? To me these men are all commitmentphobes and never wanted to give up their freedom to stop screwing any woman they could get their you know what on. IF indeed they were serious about finding a partner and getting married....there are SO many decent women out in Singledom who want marriage and I believe these men would have done it. The whole "I never found the right one" just does not compute to me.
