Personally I refunded BL3 within the 2 hour window, didn't like Vaugh, knowing the backstory as to why cl4p-tp's voice actor got changed also got in the way of enjoying it. The early story just rubbed me the wrong way.

I hate how Gearbox wants to completely say fuck you to Pre Sequel even though pre sequel could have made 3 the game of the decade. But nope. They wrote Ava like a whiny little shit, Lilith lost all her charisma, Tannis is suddenly cured of schizophrenia, and claptrap isn’t even funny anymore he’s just straight up annoying. It’s like the SpongeBob effect. We were given something great, that devolved into gag writing

borderlands 2 was great, but gearbox took what made bl2 great and just way over-tuned it so that its the whole games identity and, to me, feels disingenuous

It's an interesting game. I make it too hard for myself by always wanting to get multiple quests in any given level, especially when playing for the first tine, and currently I'm struggling on the one which wants you to use lightning with open fields - as I pick too many negative mutators for myself and then lose a lot of econ in the first rounds The critique I would have for this game, if it can be called that, is that there are a few options which are just universally bad. The builder's guild as an example, upgrading one house to tier two every day - effectively just a coin or two per day extra you get. Otherwise, the traits you select at the start, no matter what they're buffing ornwhat the mutators are debuffing, are honestly allowing for a lot of variety and strategy depending on what you'll have to face, although sadly after the levels are played through there is only the endless mode, so of course it's not like something like against the storm where you'll always have skmething to do. But then again, it is a relatively cheap game, and it should be ok to not be infinite

Honestly as much as I enjoy what I’ve played of bl3, every time I’ve played the MENUS have been one of the biggest turnoffs gameplay wise. They just feel like such a downgrade in every way from the bl2 menus… both in convenience and performance.

I thought the writing sounded like old people trying way too hard to pander to a younger audience. Not just the Calypso twins but the whole game felt like "what's up fellow youths?" The core audience of this game is young adults. The target demographic for the writing of BL2 is young adults. But the writing of BL3 felt like they were targeting a middle school audience. They sacrificed every suspenseful moment to pander to the short attention span of younger children.

Borderlands 3 went full marvel with its dialogue and people became hyper aware of cringe games afterwards that tried to emulate it. It’s the only good thing about this game

This year i play 1 2 and 3 for the first time in my life on xbox series x borderlands 1 was incredible but way too short 8/10, borderlands 2 had a great story and characters but it was very buggy and the loot was awful i finished the entire game with blue weapons because everything else was complete trash borderlands 2 state on console deserves nothing more than a 6/10 but i did hear it like a 9/10 on pc with mods. Borderlands 3 was the most fun i had in awhile there was so much weapons to chose from so many legendaries dropped and so much fun gunplay and fun combos before i even realized i put like 500 hours into 3 just for the fun i had ill give 3 an 9/10! What should i play next?

Im sick of the BL 1 hate is it the best of the franchise fuck no BL2 is the king there but without BL1 there wouldnt be a franchise and 3 was just utter garbage storwise gameplay was great though i hope they keep that in 4 by far the most satisfying in the entire franchise up to that point (then wonderlands kept that gameplay with some tweaks to fit the setting better so maybe its the new defacto gameplay style) the presequel was fairly weak and wonderlands well it was just assault on dragonkeep again which isnt a bad thing but certainly not pushijg the franchise forward maybe 4 will completely retcon 3's story

Im all for options like rumble feedback if you are deaf to denote sound effects, or color blind mode. I am however not okay with undermining the developers intent or throwing away all gaming integrity for many reasons. One being that I view games as a test, thats the entire point, its why I am not watching a movie instead. A test is only valuable if the rules are consistent. If you give out a test and tell people to study, but at test time, we can now do open book, we can even just use cheat sheets. That test now has no meaning. Furthermore, if an option to take the test easier is given, and we all get A+s in the end, why would I do it harder? The entire test makes zero sense now, and thus the games make zero sense when things like this are added. Some people will rebuttal with "Games aren't serious" or something along those lines, and if so, you have just outted yourself as having no integrity or respect for your own hobby and thus its like someone who plays guitar hero and thinks guitar players are "elitist" trying to give feedback to something they have no respect for. In other words, if you think gamings a joke, then your opinion is moot.

anthony, tftb telltale teams, and 2k australia has all collaborated to the b2+b1.5+tftb ending combinations that paved the easiest and most obvious way for b3 writers to write the most convenient, uncontroversial and profitable way to write b3... the 3 predecessors' endings obviously plan for the next sequel to have the crimson raiders be bigger and stronger with more vault hunters joining the jolly borderlands coop vaultastic adventures... with rhys' gang reunited and work together with the main casts to rebuild the atlas corp to be better than its original b1 era corrupt tyrannical atlas. those 3 endings are analoguous to the team of borderlands vault hunters and their allies standing before a great vault gate... bracing themselves to prepare fighting the vault monsters within and get all those totally not corrupted alien treasures~ instead b3 writers choose to have those main casts shoot themselves in the foot and backflip off cliff offscreen into the lava while being depressed muttering about unfun real life midlife economy crisis... while ava and the twins are having echostream pissing match in their spotlights, and tannis being forced to make quick eulogy funeral speech for maya's death (where our b3 hunters are idly t-posing in the next vault treasure room during maya's death cutscene) despite tannis stating she's bad at doing speech and then they all just moved on to the next plot mcguffins. what a way to kill the story momentum that your legacy teams has worked hard to create, gbx. also: b2 og gaige is a cool nerdy dorky badass cyberpunk anarchist cyborg engineer. she embraces her anarchy loving persona to survive the many deadly situations throughout b2, while simultaneously being a dorky sweet and teasing girl to her fellow vault hunters while also sometimes have fun breaking the 4th wall talking to players. she wants her talent as robo engineer be respected. and she helps free the sanctuary citizens from the lulzy genocidal tyrannical regime of jack's hyperion, just like her true persona as the rebel teenager growing up to fight the good fight while being a dorky nerd inventor too, rising far above her past as a school bully victim due to marcie's snobby bully routines. and she also imply that she acknowledged in craw dlc that she's responsible for accidentally killing marcie through misprogramming dt, muttering that she's saying sorry to mr. holloway. but she knew her accidental crime in killing marcie pales in comparison to the holloways' many years of tyrannical corrupt ruling of eden 5 that needs to be stopped, so she goes back to eden 5 in the debt or alive side novel to free the oppressed people of her home planet just like what she did in pandora. also, b2 og gaige's random quote when killing lots of enemies rapidly: START RUNNING! Balance wise I wished the game was a bit tougher to get to full build. I made the melee character first and ended up finding the melee shotgun belt and bullshit combo that everyone uses. I then tried the gunner girl and found the way to always be in gun form and basically be invincible. Its cool that you can get there, but in BL2 it felt like a much much longer journey needing just the right drops to make the build work

Borderlands 3 had a good outline and framework for a story but it kind of fell flat throughout. The gameplay is pretty fun, the Maliwan takedown is actually fucking dope. The music is also much improved, the dynamic music making its way into boss fights is really a nice touch. BL2 I played a shit ton of but its music rarely got me to perk up. BL3 I rarely put on mute.

Started with Demon Souls PS5 February of 2022. It felt challenging. I thought i was doing something wrong. A co worker put me on it because of how good the game looked. But i was frustrated at the first level. The co-worker who put me on quit it because of their frustration. I was just determined to seeing it through. Not only that i played the entire souls trilogy, elden ring, sekiro, and Bloodbourne. Demon souls is still my favorite. Might be because it was my first fromsoft game. Or because it has a feel to it i love.

At 5.23 one of the yellow enemies explodes into red rays, it looks like a red version of what happens to your character at 5.54. Was that a special enemy, do they level up?

I wish games like these would just pull a FF14 and say: "Look, we know this story sucked, we know 99% of the player base doesn't like it, we know you'd prefer differently. So we have decided to completely revamp the game" They can keep the same characters, locations, even the direction they want to take the game, but switch up the story so it aligns more with what fans want and what makes sense lore wise. I'm not just talking for BL3 either, any game could easily do this. But that requires the developers and publisher to spend their time any money which they'd rather use on a half assed DLC they will charge you for that attempts to fix the issues with the main storyline while leaving the main storyline the exact way it was. But that's all just wishful thinking
