Well, there are factors that can contribute to that. It's either your butter was too cold or too warm, and gradually add your eggs. There are lots of reasons, so I can't say exactly what happened in your case.

Here’s how to/not to make these cookies right follow all of the directions correctly up until actually putting it in the oven. Then get suspicious to as why the cookies are not done after 20 minutes. Ignore this feeling for another 20 minutes and see that they still haven’t baked so you turn the heat up to 250 for ten minutes. And then realize something you’re American. Double check that to make sure that it was Fahrenheit and not Celsius . REALIZE THAT IS WAS CELSIUS. FEEL LIKE A STEREOTYPICAL AMERICAN TROPE. Then turn up the heat to 340 until cookies golden brown. Be scared of the product;eat one then realize it is the perfect cookie ! Crispy on the outside and gooey on the inside! I love happy little accidents ! (Sorry it’s so long😂)
