This game is so nostalgic to me bro glad I decided to play it when I was 8... The fact that the Eight Melodies plays again in the End Credits is just so bittersweet and nostalgic too I finished this game at 16 years old, (my current age), on President's Day, February 19th, 2024.

For those interested: As you might have noticed, the locations of the third and fourth melodies are swapped, with the third melody being located at Rainy Circle, the fourth sanctuary, and the fourth melody being located at Milky Well, the third sanctuary. However, something that you also might have noticed is the addition of an extra note at the end of the fourth melody. If you compare it to the version in the sound stone or any other version of the eight melodies theme, you will notice that the fourth melody section has two notes. The first acting as a conclusion to the song's first part, and the second acting as an introduction to the song's second part. In the Milky Well version of the melody, the last note appears to repeat itself for whatever reason. This isn't the case for any other official version of the eight melodies theme, including the original demo, so my guess is that it was added accidentally and simply left unnoticed. Mother 2 Deluxe, a hack by Messianic, fixes this issue (as well as the aforementioned melody swapping).

I wondered if this happened because, as you play the game, you technically discover the Rainy Circle guardian before Milky Well. Jeff stumbles upon it and Shrooom! will refuse to fight him. Maybe during development this caused someone to erroneously swap them.

As I’m playing the game, it reminded me of me and my old friends when we were in elementary school (I’m currently in the final quarter of 8th grade) I’m currently at fourside city, and every step of the way it just reminds me of them. The game so far has reminded me of who I am, and made me remember times that I hadn’t even looked back at for a good while now. The whole game is an emotional experience (I almost cried a couple of times)
