I come from the US to Teletech 2024, and pretty much agree with everything you had to say. I got there as it opened both days, and quickly learned I had to immediately dash to the Boiler Room if I wanted to see my favorite acts (Funk Tribu, Creeds etc). Was frustrating as more and more people showed up, but was still an amazing time. Seeing Creeds perform his "Rampage" remix while on the rail was absolutely insane. Thanks for the video!
@acidrainuk21 күн бұрын
Hello! Yes, its something that definitely needs to be improved on. I vote for the main room to be open all day! Creeds is phenomenal, here's to more Techno in 2025 ❤

Really nice that you knew what the tune was playing when it kicked in And you could enjoy the record straight laced For me I was at Sunrise at music box and it was some Psychedelic trance I haven’t the foggiest of the artist or track title Sounded pretty extraordinary anyway I enjoy your shows you let the artists tell their stories without interrupting Bless up

I used to love Prague 5 on Canal street, i remember Miss Moneypennys transforming the place one night…..brilliant. We used to go from there to berlin which was next door to Bookbinders, they used to do R & B upstairs and Funky house downstairs another great place only lasted a few years. From there we started going to 2 Risqué at North which was the old isobar and for me that was one of the best club nights I’d ever been too the djs were so good.

I remember getting given a acid house hoodie orange and Brown I think, psychedelic patterns , I was small for my age maybe 9 when i got the top but I remember my dad saying 'Aciiiid!' "Rhythm Is A Mystery" is my favourite song of the entire 1990s. I've put it at the top of my 1991 music videos playlist. kzbin.info/aero/PL6oCQqv2KW6WNSAjTtZqcv6hPrCJivYFE

Good point about John Peel. I used to listen, tape ready, for the three or four house and hip hop tracks he played each show. Big Band House - Aqua Regia is one I still have on tape from his show, that I never heard elsewhere. Bought your white label four track EP after 808 played it, introduced as Wild Track, with the sample from the kids TV show. Fond memories of the first time I heard Rhythm Is a Mystery out - Solstice 91 at Manchester Academy, the whole place with hands in the air for the breakdowns.

Stella’s observation about having her phone in her pocket when she’s locked into a band’s performance is really relatable. I caught them by accident. Some friends and I were at a club to see the headliner. We were at the bar talking when HM started. My musician ears perked up immediately. I pardoned myself, walked closer to the stage, and put my phone away. I was 100% locked in to their performance. All my friends’ attempts to converse were met with a piss off, to borrow an English expression, tone. HM is one of the best up and coming underground bands in the US.
