Most content creators would thank me for the comment and then put a link directing me to the content of interest, this serves the channel's interests in the long run, not fighting with a viewer who made a valid observation. Most channels/content creators welcome feedback. FYI feedback means compliments as well as criticism. They understand that feedback helps improve and grow their channel. The reasoning is as follows if one viewer questions an aspect of the video, then it means that there must be a hundred other people who felt the same but never bothered with articulating it. I would have expected better from what I thought would be a mature 9-year-old channel and all this over a 4-year-old video *Do you want to know how a smart channel would have handled my comment?* Firstly they would have highlighted MY comment, not their response, Next, they would have given me a like and heart for my comment. Next, they would have thanked or appreciated me for viewing their video, Then they would have apologized that the video did not meet all my expectations and that they would certainly try to improve. They would then state, that I may have missed their other video which contains the content I was interested in. Posting a link They would once again appreciate that I made time to comment and inform them how they can improve. They would end by saying that they would love to see me revisit their channel and that if I enjoy this type of content they hope that they have earned my subscription. *That response does not make the channel inferior nor does it alienate anyone. It addresses the viewer's concern and invites the viewer to further interact with the channel, return to the channel, and possibly subscribe.* Or at least that is how I would have done it, just my two cents.
