Hi! I recommend LLC (living learning complex) because it’s basically in the center of everything. The building isn’t as old as Rawls or Smith. I did not stay in CP (Centennial Place), but that is one of the newest dorms. It has a whole kitchen which is nice.

I stayed in LLC (living learning complex) for both my freshman & sophomore year. It is a freshman dorm, but housing does make exceptions. I’d say in terms of space it was a little limited for me (i have a lot of clothes, lol), but it is workable. I prefer this dorm over Rawls and Smith because it is more up to date. The only downside is that there is no kitchen unlike the rest of the dorms on campus. Having a roommate wasn’t bad as long as you both specify boundaries. I did have a roommate cross those boundaries my 1st year, so just be sure to make those clear.

Welcome fashionista! It has been a lot of trial and error of finding the right products that react with my hair well. I absolutely love this rhyme and reason leave-in, but if you prefer something different, I do suggest taking a little extra time at the hair store or supply section and seeing what looks best (especially for ingredients). I tried searching for what other naturals were using, but sometimes you really just have to find out for yourself. Hope this helps!

Thank you! I stayed at the Luxurban Be at Home hotel. The prices were higher due to me going during the weekend, but not as high as other hotels in the area. It’s literally right by Times Square. For me it was around $140 per night (with a temporary $130 or so card fee upon check-in). I found my hotel last minute, but there were plenty of other cheaper hotels. Either they didn’t have the amenities I wanted or they were booked, so definitely search as early as possible! FYI there is no elevator in the spot, so walking the stairs is mandatory. That wasn’t too bad. How is it in Jamaica? It’s so beautiful there, and definitely on my travel list!
