I watched this in the 1970s, when I was in my twenties. I recall how deeply I was affected and captivated by Henry Fonda’s masterful presentation of Darrow. This show made some important and positive impressions on my psyche during my formative years of youth. I learned quite a bit about ethics and morality from productions such as this one. So far, I’ve managed to stay on the narrow path in my elder years. My youthful stage of unfolding was way the hell and gone from the narrow path! I’m thrilled to revisit this magnificent play after a fifty-year span of Jerk-nom. Bless Bless! 33:18 Personally, I think this presentation is timely, as well as timeless. Lots to be learned from Mr. Fonda’s portrayal of Clarence Darrow.

Imagine being a never-handsome never-talented male singer on his downward spiral. Walking home from this gig to his sixth-floor walkup and sprinkling King of Kings whisky on his cornflakes.

How can I not have a mad crush on this extraordinary man? The more I hear Jerry Orbach's voice the more enamored I become. I close my eyes and imagine he's singing to me.

I wasn't born yet when Jerry Orbach starred in "The Fantasticks" even though I heard the original recording. While watching him play detective Lennie Briscoe on "Law & Order," my mother pointed out that Jerry was the original El Gallo. On "L&O," Jerry made me laugh with his sarcastic humor that it was easy to forget his Broadway background. Thanks for posting this reminder of his singing abilities. Jerry is deeply missed, yet fondly remembered.

Her Voice got even better as she Aged... because she lost some of the bright "chirpiness" to her sound. And she developed a deeper style of interpretation.
