maybe respect the decision so other sites dont follow suit... for every door that closes, another opens.. Maybe take the initiative to start a new site somewhere else that is suitable for everyone, not just paragliders..

Hi Alex, nice review! Can you say if the Arc10 have better glide ratio then the Spitfire2 9.5? (when fly both with closed trimmers) Has the Arc also short lines like the Spitfire? Thanks!
@ProSpeedflying
@ProSpeedflying 2 ай бұрын
Hello! Arc 10 will have significantly more glide than Spitfire 2 9.5. Also the real size of the Spit is more like 8.5-8.8m² compared to the wings of other brands. So I would say if you go from spit2 9.5 to Arc8 it will be just around ~0.6m² downsize (and still you will have more glide with arc8).
@goodpools
@goodpools 2 ай бұрын
Thank you for your reviews of both the DF and the F4! I had the DF18 as my first wing, I’m on the DF16 now, and I’m downsizing to either a 14F4 or 14DF next. These videos are the super helpful in helping me decide 🙏 By the way, would you say the Fazer 4 14M glide is considerably worse then dragonfly 14M? Or is the difference marginal
@ProSpeedflying
@ProSpeedflying 2 ай бұрын
Yes, Fazer has worse glide and less performance. I would recommend staying with a DF or transiting over to Rapido or Arc depending on your goals.

Great stuff here, learned a few tips on the "French" launch, which I picked up in Chamonix over 10 years ago. I would like to add a technique for high-wind launches. I teach in the high Colorado mountains, and we get STRONG winds here, usually stronger than what most Euros would fly in. No hands in toggles for starters, get your wing ready to throw out UPSIDE- DOWN, right from the beginning, toss it uphill and downwind, letting it pop out nose down, it won't (can't) go anywhere. Your hands will be completely free, so now, you have time to check your harness, wing, lines, start the GoPro, pull your goggles down, stash your stuff sack, whatever. The brake toggles will be sitting right on top waiting for you to go. Skis across the hill and into any x-wind, then you just pull up one corner of the wing in what is basically an upside-down cobra. Do NOT pull the wing completely upright, but into a traction skiing position with wing-tip on it's side, and let the wing pull you ACROSS the hill. Once you pick up some speed, you start turning your SKIS down the hill, while gradually letting the wing cross over your head, by pulling a bit of brake towards your turn. This works in VERY strong winds, but most be practiced on flat ground without skis to get comfy with it. Demonstrated in the first minute or so of this video at Valfrejus. kzbin.info/www/bejne/hnzddmWVg7aEqKc

@@romaalpinist for sure it is. Keep in mind, though, it does have a lot of lines (unsheathed) (it's a 4 liner) as it has trimmers and a speedbar system. It always depends on how rugged a launch site is. If it's decent, this wing is pretty bomber for it. Packs small for climb and fly and launches easily. For more rugged launch sites with a bunch of wind, smaller sizes (shorter lines) will be better.
