So... this is wonderful... in the lab... What happens in real conditions? The few times my phone fell, it wasn't perfectly horizontal and there was no cork sheet on the ground!

The real question is the material of the grit? This would give us a better idea on how tough the glass is. I assume its alumina oxide. That means this glass is sapphire or at least has an equivalent hardness (9 on mohs) surface treated or thru and thru?

It's never necessary if you have a case that's raised above the glass and you make sure to try never put anything in the same pocket as your phone you'll never see the microscrathches while using the phone

great, this r&d gives our phones best durablity, i remember when using smartphones like before 2020, mostly phones are like biscuits, dropped at hip height will shattered or broke the lcd screen, body and back panel... but cons are they are more expensive than before.
