WOW. I know this was a long time ago but...WOW. If you never showed the scoreboard in this video you would think Granite Bay won by 30 points!

Thank you Rick Sutter for sharing this great throwback video. I was a freshman I remember watching this game in person. It’s a shame the state playoff system we have now wasn’t in place. I would have loved to see this team play in a Nor Cal regional game and a state championship. I know they were named Cal High DII state championship but I think they would have won had they got to play in a state title game.

Crazy to think that this game had 3 future NFL players in it. Kap for Pitman and for the Grizzlies ILB Miles Burris who went to SDSU drafted by and spent 3 years with the Raiders and number 7 Devon Wyle played for Fresno State drafted by the Chiefs spent time with them, Titans played in the CFL.

Amazing high school football game. I watched the entire thing from beginning to end on the edge of my seat and have no connection to either school whatsoever. Pitman should have run Kaepernick a little more or at least given him the option in some designed plays outside the pocket to open things up more. Kaepernick would have been murder if he had some receivers who could catch the football. I counted five drops, bad ones too. Of course he is throwing the ball about 85 mph from 10-15 yds away at times. Colin was the definition of a diamond in the rough back then: tall, lanky, all legs, quick, elusive, cannon for an arm, athletic ability to throw on the run and a knack for making big plays at crucial times, like a gamer should. On the downside, he was very erratic on throws, made horrible decisions at times, didn't take care of the football well enough, and often didn't know when to give up on a play to avoid a turnover. Judging by this game film I would not have expected him to perform so well in college, nor become a successful pro. He is a prime example of someone with raw ability and talent mall the most of it with hard work and improvement through maturity. Granite Hills needed to be more ready for the quick snap on D. And they should have thrown the rock more often. Pitman was feeble at pass D and the Granite Qb had a hose and hands to throw to. I'm out but had to post an extensive review since I spent an hour watching. Thanks.

Not really sure what you are talking about? Kaep graduated in 06'. So he didn't play 06-07 year. I went to Beyer and watched him play 04-06. I was JV at the time so wasn't on the field unfortunately but we beat Kaep when he was a jr but they destroyed us in 05. I looked up Pitmans schedule and they didn't play you guys at all until 2010. Maybe it was a scrimmage?

I was so impressed with the Nevada Union Miners in the game last Friday. The Miner team demonstrated determination, perseverance and dedication in a very challenging year but most of all they showed great character and class when it came down to the last play of the game! Regardless of the record, they are Champions in my book! Great job, Travis and GB Grizzlies as well!
