Can you post your recipe for those not near you to try?

Hi there! I’m a beginner, and I really like that purple you got at the end. If I want to get that color, how much alkanet powder should I add to my oil before mixing the lye? I use about 32oz of oils

what’s a 50/50?
@melissapeterson42024 күн бұрын
I love adding canola! To me it feels like the bubbles are lighter almost airy feeling. Of course that's in a recipe with other oils too. I've made quite a number is different recipes i just didn't keep very good records/notes.

Hi, please may i ask, what is 50/50 solution? Do yoh mean equal amounts of lye and water? Thanks x
@3baashandmadesoaps9375 күн бұрын
Hello yes that’s it. Equal parts. For example let’s just say you put 10oz of liquid into a container. You will need to add 10oz of lye to that same container. Then mix together let it sit and use as needed. Simi from muddy mint explains it a lot better. It seems complicated at first but once you get it it’s a game changer.

Soaps are beautiful! I find that pulling the silicone molds out from the top, side, and bottom before trying to push soaps out usually is a big help to break the suction for a cleaner de-molding…
