To start an old Zetor like that: - push the key down in position 0 (or you can use a 3" nail, just need to make contact) - handthrottle at 75% - if engine is cold - push in the coldstart button on the fuelpump - push the startbutton. Turning the key to position 1, 2 or 3 just switch on the lights. 1 is parkinglights, 2 is headlights low beam and 3 is headlights high beam. The levers on the floor: Right lever is High/Low gear series selector. High - neutral - Low Left lever is for engaging PTO/Hydraulic pump. Has several positions for different options. Engines on these tractors are very reliable, and starts up easily in very cold temperatures. Cheap parts available, and easy to maintain and fix.

Nearly wide open throttle, push the cold start button on the pump, dip the clutch and press the start button (big push button on you right knee) that’ll start up first time every time. Handy little tractor.

I had a Zetor 6911 Robin...Hi-Lo gear lever is one of those on floor between your legs & main gears are the 1-5 plus reverse on the one that you were moving with your right hand, should be a decal near the lever showing you the gear positions...hope this helps mate.

My late uncle bought one of them brand new back in the 70s, faithful old thing. Zetor were ahead of there time really, especially with the bungalow cab!😀 Only problem he used to have was if he didn’t use it for a wile brakes would start binding, my zetor Christal would do same thing. There is a bit of an art adjusting zetor brakes. Probably best if you can find it a new home, Fairly easy restoration and it’s a runner too👍
