For everyone who's surprised that I was shocked by this, here are a few points of context: 1. I was about 20yo when this hit me like a brick. 2. Until that point, I always wanted to be an engineer and be part of big companies that are leaving global impact. 3. Having that dream, I went into it only with the positive views of big companies and the people inside them. 4. I then found out about all the negatives which, sadly, in many companies go hand in hand with their positives (nepotism, chronic laziness, hiding one's failures, harmful corporate gossip and politics, and so on). 5. It was shocking to me how these big corporates which are leaving such a huge impact on the world, can be filled with SO MANY incompetent and mean individuals. I now know that the larger a company is, the easier it is for incompetent, lazy, and mean people to crawl their way in there, leaching paycheck after paycheck, and *discouraging/letting down every person like myself who REALLY wants to do more and more every month.* I now also know that even though there are millions of incompetent managers that hold people back in dozens of ways, there are also those that empower and team up with the amazing people on their teams, and achieve more together. And even though there are millions of incompetent customer support reps out there, there are also those ones that ACTUALLY care and help you more than is expected of them! :) In short, even though the corporate world doesn't care about you (i.e. 1 cog in their 100million cog machine), there are always amazing professionals out there that you will love working with. We just need to find those. And that's what I spent the majority of my time on in my companies. Finding those people. :)

I used to journal a ton, but I used to just write down my thoughts, I didnt do it as a review of my day, you inspired me to start doing it again as a review of the day, thanks Robert!

Customer service also doesn't care about you being with the company for x amount of years either. They will close your account or send you to collections the moment that you don't agree with a fee or decision that affects you financially.

Anyone that has worked for 5 mins knows this. This is not shocking truth. Why does it need a tik tok video to tell people?

Amazing stuff 👏 Robert People make it too hard on themselves when they try to create a business out of their whims & hobbies. It's far easier to see existing real-world problems with desperate businesses fighting in the trenches to survive and thrive. Develop a specific skill set 2 solve a specific problem for a profitable business and one can never be without work and thus money. Choose your hill (niche + why + ethics) Then choose a business already shouldering a boulder up that hill like sissyphus Use your skills to make that easier + more profitable 📈 for them Enjoy 😅
