hi i just pick this up today, its not so bad i would score 79, straight up on rocks, pretty smooth. yes there is a lot of vanilla and little sweet. but ill drink it up in a mixer.

Just found your channel - fellow Long Islander (well, ex-long Islander, moved to Chicago). I'm really surprised you're hyping Santo with how many additives are included, yet you trash Casamigos? They're both pretty bad. Was looking through you videos - have you reviewed La Gritona? One of the better options, and is also additive free.

Actually I'd have to disagree. There's no additives in Santo Fino and I pray that you don't think Casamigos is clean? I'm disappointed in La Gritona without a doubt.

@@longislandloutequila7208 I haven't tried the Fino variety- I will. I know some folks deeper in the process, Santo and Casamigos both have additives - most tequilas do (don't like either one). I'm also not a fan of celebrity spirits. Although when Sammy released the original Cabo Wabo, I was somewhat impressed. It did have additives, but Santo is so over processed to me ( and I really don't care for Guy Fieri, I think he's an absolute tool). La Gritona right now is one of my top bottles on the bar right now. Their process gives a unique taste and finish, very bright and fresh, and it's additive free.

Lou, I picked up the Don Fulano blanco the other day. It's really nice! As an aside, I scored big this past week, finding a Fortaleza Blanco in a a grocery store for $60!! It was their last one. I also found a Cascahuin Plata 48, A G4 Blanco 108!!, plus a Terralta and a Pasote and a LALO. The four other major liquor stores I stopped at didn't have a single botttle of Fortaleza - or so they claimed. My wife and I are excited to add these others to our sipping collection! Thanks for this channel, brother. I envy you your Fortaleza collection. You must know some very important people up there, Lou!!!

I think Siembra Valles is a little sweeter and more citrus. Lost Lore was more herbal and vegetative but both great

This is now a Spirit Direct brand at Total Wine in CA, at least. Only $50 for blanco. Have any idea how that happened?

No idea I just know that it's really good tequila. Hard to believe they would hook up with Total Wine who sells crap. As long as the quality doesn't change, maybe they partnered to be able to sell their product in the US

I liked the vanilla stout beer barrel they also released ! They released it alongside this barley wine one . Super unique and you still get the agave

I agree it's a short amount of time, but in my case I'm actually happy, because I really like my Blanco to taste completely like Blanco, and in this case it actually did, but it was just a little bit softer which is fine for me. Also 12 years of Weller bourbon in those barrels is going to leave a strong effect, even in a short amount of resting
