Wouldn't buy the Scudetta. I can go to a store and try on Nike, Adidas, Puma. I know how they fit. With these, I'd be buying blind. I know I'm safe with a Nike size 11. I know Adidas tends to be too narrow for me. These guys? No idea.

I don't particularly notice my boots once I'm playing. I like nice boots. I spend money on them. But when I've worn takedown models compared to "elite" you don't notice much difference when playing. This is a very niche, luxury interest.

For $200 not on my radar. Why? Long term quality. You know Nike and Adidas will last a specific amount of time. Make it in kangaroo and I’m in. No interest in the vegan concept

I got a pair of Sokito Devista which is a leather boot that was on special for £89.99 at the time and I like them. Comfortable kangaroo leather. Just based on those I would try a pair of Scudetta. Just I am trying to save for an Adler Yatagarashu first. The reason is besides the comfort and durability is they would be my...what the Copa Mundial is to others. Got into football/soccer later in life. I always want to have a pair of comfortable leather boots and a speed boot in my rotation. I tend to shred speed boots. My Mercurial 15s look like Frankenstein's monster. So I want a pair of boots I can always fall back on. The Devista was one of those impulse buys that I am happy to have got I use them for scrimages and even matches depending on the condition of the grass field at the time.

i wouldnt get it because of the stud patter since i mostly play on ag. If there was a AG version i would at least seriously consider it and then it would come down to the fit and comfort between the scudetta and the f50 messi (if that one comes out in another colorway)

If the quality is there, why not consider it. And wasn't mentioned at all, but the brand stands for something more and actually want to make positive change in the industry with regards to materials used, waste and processes. With this in-mind, it's an easy consideration at least.

Glad to see that you guys are back again! Love to see it. I am very very excited for the Sokito Scudetta. Definitely agree, Sokito knows what they're doing. In terms of subjectiveness, do agree that you should read/watch as many as possible. You get a more rounded view on things. And it is absolutely our job to be as clear and nuanced as possible when doing reviews. At the same time, people should also understand by our very nature, we will often have vastly different views on things. And that's good! It'd be very boring if we all agreed about stuff. It also means that when a lot of people in our space are praising a product, that our collective opinions naturally should carry more weight when it comes to looking at what to buy. Also, yeah the Alpha Japan is absolutely ridiculously good.

I’d be interested in trying them. I know tooling costs can be an issue for newer brands, but if they released AG versions, then I’d try them

The Sokito is not on my radar for any price. But because i like vintage Preds and premium leather boots

I believe most teenagers who started playing football, took inspiration and chose their football boots solely based on their footballing idols. It is the only reason why Vapor 4/5/6 and Superfly 1/2/3 were so hot back in those days, because of Ronaldo and a couple of others despite how horrible they felt. Hence, the new Sokito would only be worth considering to the 'IYKYK' group like us. Similar to the high-end independents in the luxury watch market, serving a very small subsegment. :)

To answer Josh's final question... For me I would not buy another $200+ "speed" boot after putting the f50 Messi's on my feet. Living in Florida and playing between FG and AG, I don't see value in a $200+ boot that I can only safely wear on FG. Now I will say that they look lovely and I would like to see a black and white variant as well.

I wish they were a bit cheaper. At 200$ you can get discounted top end models from puma, and during the holidays, even nike and adidas can be got for cheaper. And tbh, they simply just dont look as premium and as refined as the top 3 brands and mizunos are obviously in another planet when it comes to refinement. Also, i wish they had something out of this world like a crazy composite insert in the soleplate made out of something crazy like carbon or glass fibre. Having something crazy like that would push me to take a gamble and buy them. But otherwise at 30 dollars more the puma ultra 5 ultimate are phenomenal and look in my opnion better, and have that refinement. I'm not a brand loyalist, I just buy what's interesting and what i fancy, and tbh the sokito simply don't look interesting enough or have a unique technology that would convince me.

Any new brand trying to sell for more than 150 is not realistic,when u can get discounted alpha elite for 140 and vapor 15 for 190....

Of course nobody is really considering a "no name yet" boot for 200© if you can get mizuno pro models for 120© on sale or made in japan mizunos for 160© on sale. Why would anybody gamble there? Previously, like 10-15 years ago, new companys started with aggressive pricing and a novelty product, nowadays they expect us to be early adopters/beta testers AND to pay premium prices of century long established premium brands...

As someone with the puma ultra carbon f50 and new mercurials the upper of the puma and the stud pattern is definitely the best it feels like I’m not even wearing boots the mercurials seem quite good but they don’t feel as nimble and they feel a bit bulky but the f50 is the worst pair of boots I’ve ever had I don’t understand the hype the feel of the outsole is horrible the fit is bad everything about it is very bad

How would you compare Vapor Flyknit ultra and the new Mercs?

The f50+ have been fantastic for me haven’t had any issue with the “bulk” or the lock down.

Copa America was probably one of the worse tournaments I have seen in my life. My wife and kids were so bored during the final.

When I saw that there was going to be an F50+ I was really excited we were going to get a crazylight or adizero style cleat. Huge let down

Tbh it seems lazy by Nike. Just throw the leftover grip knit and make a sock like boot. I love the previous version. Nothing special. When I don’t worry about what I am wearing, that’s a banger. Wish they had brought back vapors with a tongue.
