Amen! What a powerful and needed message for us to choose joy because we have Jesus even amidst our sorrows. Yes, some are legit horrific, but more often than not, we get stuck in the petty things in life. Thank you, Pastor Pete, for spreading this good news we need to hear. Makes me think of Matthew 5:16, "Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works and glorify your Father, which is in heaven." Like you said, how cool would it be for others to come to Christ simply by watching how we respond when we're suffering.
